I had a bunch of the LPS stuff, too - including mail order stuff that I saved barcodes and points for. I went to Michigan with my mother for a year and when I came back a lot of my stuff was missing..(including part of my coin collection) I know what happened. My dad was dating a woman that had two daughters, one was 8 or 9. Either his GF took my stuff or he gave it away. I'm still mad about this and the fact that he did it again years later. Who steals from their own daughter?

I still have all of my My Little Ponies and will buy any that I come across that are in good condition (no, not the ugly new ones).

I forgot that I do have a coin collection and still have some of my rock collection (though half of that was stolen, too).

I've also started collecting cat print fabric.

I have a collection of Bingo Bears. He is a talking bear that was really high tech and ahead of his time.

He was manufactured by Hasbro in 1987 but never was a big seller. Most people have never heard of him.

I found my first one in 1987 at the Mars Store in Attleboro, MA he was on clearance.

I didn't intend to collect them but when I started seeing them on line at auction sites I got hooked on having the bear and the extra add on voice modules.

For some reason seeing a homeless bear with no one bidding made me sad. Fortunately for me they don't eat. I now have 10 of them.

His best friend is Monkgomery Monkey I only have four of him.

Now I collect key chains and magnets to put on my fridge. Whenever someone travels someplace I ask them to bring me back one or the other. When I was a kid I collected 45's-vinyl records, then albums, then cassette tapes (all music). I refuse to give them up and I don't even own a turntable.

No, seriously, I used to collect limoges boxes with cats.... but that ended a while ago when money got tight.

We focused on B&W kitties mostly.... like this:

I don't collect anything. I think I just don't have the type of personality that is common in people who are collectors..I think a lot of times people who collect things are very organized when it comes to their collection, and I'm not organized when it comes to anything at all...I also notice how most people who have that type of personality are also protective of their collection, but not only that, they are generally protective of any random possession they have in terms of keeping things nice and neat, but also in terms of getting annoyed when other people touch their stuff and such... I on the other hand trash everything I own within a few days, my laptop is so beat up and dirty that the keys look like they will fall out, pens, notebooks, everything gets fully worn out and exhausted before I get a new one. It is almost a whole another mini obsession of mine, using things up quickly and throwing them away lol..
I don't get attached to any objects, I don't get excited if I obtain something rare...
I love throwing away or donating old things, just the idea of getting rid of stuff and freeing space makes me happy in general, which is another thing that makes it hard for me to collect anything- I'd want to get rid of it eventually....

I normally dislike clutter and am a minimalist type person to a fault but I do love books and have 3 bookshelves full of IMO interesting books. I collect items of my favorite dog breed only if it really looks like the breed (I am picky), people get them for me for gifts.
I collect dog collars it seems, I was cleaning out the dog closet yesterday and it seems like I might just be collecting them, LOL! Dogs have to be stylish after all.
I guess I am collector after all

Had you asked this before the weekend, I may have had a bit of a list! But I just threw away all my old stuff (or sold or donated, depending...) over the weekend! Had to clean out the other room for the kiddo!

Now it seems I'm only collecting stuff to prepare for the baby.

Well I love terra cotta. If I see a unique pot at a sale, I will buy it. I once bought 100 small pots. They are out in my barn but I will find a use somewhere, someday!

I love fabric. Just get me a gift certificate to a fabric store, and I am happy.

Have a lot of cookbooks.

I also like mixing bowls. I once bought 3 large mixing bowls at an estate sale. 2 were McCoy, for 10.00.

Honestly, between DH and myself I think we collect everything!

DH's stuff:
Vintage Star Wars and Star Trek
Nightmare before Christmas
World War II items
Thank heaven DH has stopped buying Beanie Babies, but we still have 100s of the silly things. I have at least 40 Peace bears, just because I think they're so cute.
Egyptian artifacts
Dinky and Tootsie-toy ships and tanks

My stuff:
tons of gargoyles, inside and out
garden fairies
gazing globes
vintage Halloween
vintage dolls, especially those made by Madame Alexander
patterns and fabric
music boxes
books on wicca and wiccan-type items
Hello Kitty items
cookbooks
vintage glass Christmas ornaments

I used to collect those souvenir pens that had the moving object, so the bottom part by pen point was a solid color plastic and the top part where you hold would have one part just say the touristy part and the other would have some thing that would move in the direction you were holding - I can't think of what you call them!!!

Had a bad Pez dispenser habit but I stopped buying

I guess I don't collect anything anymore. That makes me sad.

I collect ´80s My Little Ponies! And I've noticed I have managed to sneak few dragon items to this apartment, mostly just statues but also a table lamp. Lots of unpractical clothes and of course cats.
I'd love to collect dinosaur skulls (carnivores) and I absolutely neeeed a Smilodon skull!
Egyptian stuff also fascinates me...

I have a small collection of Swarovski crystal animals and Pocket Dragons but I don't collect either now. My current collections are artist bears, Charlie Bears, mythical stuff (fairies/dragons) and certain dolls. I also have a ton of books!

I am the same!
My sisters have made me give them any cd's or dvd's or books if I decide to "clean house" because I have cleansed the house and then a few years later feel the need to rebuy most of the stuff I got rid of. So now I just let them hold it for me.
Not a bit crazy....
