My Simba died 7 weeks ago. I came and posted to here and received such warm e-mails from many of you here on this site. That was so very helpful to met at such a difficult time. I had thought of all of the people that really cared for my Kitty and made contact with many of them. One of those people was my next door neighbor who was a former marine, a police officer and a friend. My wife and I left a key with him and he always fed my kitty when we were away for a few days or away visiting family in Europe for several weeks. This past weekend my neighbor took his own life. I had gone over to the house to bring a platter of food to his wife and daughter and his cat had come out to greet me. His wife had said that the cat just wasn't the same and knew something was wrong. I buried Simba on the border of my property alongside the row of Arbor Vitaes me and my neighbor had planted together. My wife had a beautiful picture blown up onto a silk screen which looks so life-like. I have not been able to hang it up as it was just too upsetting, however I feel like I will do so now. I just feel that my neighbor really was a cat lover and he took great care of Simba when I was away that I would put it onto this forum.
