Lola Foofy Tail

We are progressing rapidly - I figured I must consolidate all my pictures/updates into one thread.

Everything that fits in her mouth, goes in her mouth. We're going through all that kitten stuff now, at 9 months! She chews ink pens, paper, tacks (all have been removed - the tack board in the background of these pics has been "Lola proofed"), door frames, etc.

The best thing though (while it does complicate life) is she learned how to climb the baby gate! I feel like she can do almost anything now (as she just crashed into the door frame).

She has two white whiskers - which I

That foofy tail

And she wanted so badly to help me write, so I held an ink pen out for her to sniff, as she seemed very curious - and she apparently just wanted to eat it. (Even the gums on the bottom of her mouth are bi-colored like her fur )

Like I said - if it fits in her mouth, it goes in her mouth. She's in a chewing phase, so I bought an entire package of crinkle balls & she is in heaven!

She's a beautiful cat!

Our resident tortie, Ms. Pepe, never did get out of her chewing phase. Anything that's not put away becomes her toofer toy.

She's just your basic DMH. With a very foofy tail.

Wow, she's beautiful. I think of cats with faces like that as "harlequin cats" though I'm not sure if I spelled that right. What an impressive foofy tail!

Eek! She's soooo pretty!!

Genever is almost 2 and a half and she gets in chewing moods a lot still. Pens, remote, phones, strings of all types... She is a lot better than a year ago when we first got her, but still, she'll be on my lap sometimes and all of a sudden feel the need to chew my arm?? So then it's time to hand her a beer coaster (the cardboard ones you get at bars) and she'll chew it to bits.

Oh my gosh! Her tail TOTALLY reminds me of Pirate's tail- I have never officially measured it, but I'd say it's at least 1 1/2 feet long and very fluffy. Good pictures!

Aya is one year old and still chews on everything, occassionally bites to get your attention and shows absolutely no discretion over what she puts in her mouth and tries to eat. Some cats just like to express themselves via their teeth, I think...

check out THIS foofy tail. This is my Tinky (AKA Skunk (for the tail), AKA Stinkpot):

She's doing great! I love those 2 white whiskers.

Where can I read her story? I know she came from a bad situation according to some of your posts.

Oh she is SO gorgeous! Look at those soulful eyes! I didn't see your original story the first time, thanks for posting that, too.

Sure hope she gets a great home soon... I know you can't keep them all.

Thank you for the link to her story. I actually remember reading that when you first posted, but didn't realize this was the same cat. She's come so far!! You're doing a great job with her.

New pictures, she's a fantastic kitty. I her to death.

She'll lay on her back in my arms, and likes to touch my face. She also "gives kisses", not always on command, most often when you least expect it.

For several nights now I have went to sleep on my side, laying her in front of my body right next to me. 8 hours later I wake up & she hasn't moved.

She finally figured out how to get to the first level of the cat tree! She can also get up on the shorter/1 level cat tree in the bedroom. Now to keep working on going all the way up the cat tree.

She's figuring out cat scratchers. She can't manage a post, but the inclined scratchers, or flat scratchers she gets.

Oh & she'll just sit by me on the desk, just hanging out. She's no longer so desperate/demanding for attention.

And every day she gets more beautiful.

A few pics of her accomplishment - getting to the first level of the cat tree

It was an exhausting trip
