As we all know Haiti was devastated by an earthquake and Port-au-Prince was pretty much annihilated.
My challenge to everyone, who is able, is that you cut your grocery budget for the next week in half and donate the difference to a recognized Haiti disaster relief charity. I recommend the Red Cross or Salvation Army, because most of what they collect goes towards supporting the cause unlike some charities that take much of it for administrative fees.
For example if your grocery budget for 1 week is $100.00, buy $50 in groceries and donate $50.00 to Haiti. And remember, every little bit helps. A few dollars here and there adds up when pooled together!
My table will be a bit leaner this week because that's what I did, but I'll at least still have a roof over my head and food in my belly, which is a whole lot more than what they have over in Haiti right now.
So come on guys! Let's pull together and help these people!
PS: Please ask your friends and family to do the same!!!
