Ok, I am not the one who normally ever does this. It is not for help for me but for a girl I went to school with. (Actually her daughter)

This is directly from her mom:
Luci was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on November 26, 2007. It has been a very long and scary road, filled with twists and turns, venturing into an unknown land. We are so very proud and excited to see and end in sight! On March 11, 2010, Luci will have her last chemotherapy treatment! Her last chemo pills will be taken on March 27! It is hard to believe that it has been 2 1/2 years already.

We are celebrating by taking up a collection of items to donate to Devos Children's Hospital. We want to give back just a little of what has been given to us, although nothing measures up to my daughter's life. These items are for the inpatient and outpatient children and their families that are battling cancer. So much of their time is spent inside hospital walls and we know how boring it can become. We will be collecting through the month of February.

We greatly appreciate all the help, support, and prayers we have recieved in the past 2 1/2 years. Without it we would not be where we are today.

Items we are asking for:

Crayons, markers, coloring books, crafts, puzzles, books, and stickers. These items are wonderful for waiting during treatments in clinic, which can take an entire day and for the families that are inpatient, some of the kids cannot even leave their rooms.

Tattoos, face paint, and paint brushes are great for making bald heads beautiful!

Band-aids (fun ones), small stuffed animals, and small trinkets for poke prizes are wonderful for the many, many pokes these children endure.

Small toiletry items for the parents who stay in the hospital with their child. I received a ziploc bag with shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, and so much more that helped so much in the first week of her diagnosis.

And anything else you think would make a child smile is welcome!

Thanks!

I have omitted the mailing address and her email address for her privacy, but if you are seriously interested in helping out in any way, please let me know here and I will PM you with the information! If nothing else, keeping this whole family in your thoughts would be much appreciated! They are wonderful people trying to giveback for what they've been given and I want to help as much as I can, and spreading the word all over the US and overseas is one way I can assist! YAY TCS'ers!

For anyone interested there are many coupons available that work on trial sizes. I know the recent Band-Aid ones work. Target has them for .99 and the coupon is for $1.

Jan 3rd of the Red Plum insert. It might be a regional coupon though.
Also there is a Johnson and Johnson printable coupon. It can be used on bath buddies. It's a soap kids can hold without it slipping in their hands. That's free after $1 coupon b/c it's priced .99cents. I have seen them at Target, Walmart and Kmart. This coupon is also in Red Plum Jan 3rd.
