The deputy did lose his job, but his defense attorney says that they don't mind the video, but wish that it had audio.
Do you think that anything the girl was saying would warrant the hair-pulling or the punches

By the way, the article says that when the deputy asked the girl, "How much do the prostitutes charge?" she retorted, "Go ask your wife!" - disrespectful, but witty

No way, they jumped at her and she showed no signs of being aggressive or violent.
It doesn't matter what she says, this is unacceptable. I am sure officers are used to terrible things being said to them and should be desensitized to any insults..

I think the cop over reacted big time. But I bet that little snot won't back talk a cop again.

The cop had to know there was a camera around - at least suspected. I wonder what he does when he knows he isn't being watched.

I for one am disgusted! Ive been on that girls side of things and I know what the other side is like having 3 uncles who are cops and numrous friends and family members who are prison guards. That was beyond out of line for that cop. Its a freaking SHOE not a switchblade! He overreacted beyond belief and should most def be barred from being a cop anywhere else EVER! It even says in another article that he was being investigated for using actions that were criminal excessive force etc...and that to me just screams time bomb waiting to blow! People like that should never be allowed to own guns and should NEVER be police officers!!!!!! Holy freakin crap!

Anger Management therapy is sorely needed.

I wonder why he let her get to him - she's 15 - teenagers aren't fully cooked yet - and he mishandled the situation, must have been having a bad day, and her actions and words just set him off - but, no excuses - the officer needs professional help.
