I had a pelvic ultra sound in November. The doctor wanted to see me back in her office middle of January, so I went for the test results, which she already gave me over the telephone back in December. Today was to discuss the findings.

Not much of a discussion!

Me: "I'm here about my US from November."

Her: "I know"

She then proceeds to tell me the results, then,

Her: "They want a sample of the uterine lining. We can do that now."

I was about to say something because a uterine biopsy on someone who hasn't had children should be done under anesthetic because it's very, very painful otherwise. But before I could open my mouth....

Her: "No, I see you have a polyp and I can't remove those here, you'll need a D&C! Wait in the waiting area and I'll book a time."

They wouldn't even let me fill out the pre-op paperwork today. I have to go in on February 10th to do that. I'm going to ask one of the gyne doctors at the clinic I work at if they would be able to sign the consent with me and send it over to her. It's crazy to make me miss work to go in and sign a stupid piece of paper.

The whole visit was less than 5 minutes! LOL

Anyway, I'm booked for day surgery on the 26th of March. I asked for as late of an appointment as I could get, and I'm going at 3pm!

I just started my new job on November 23rd, this couldn't all be happening at the worse possible time!!!

Basic endometrial biopsy is not much more than a regular pap and shouldnt require anesthetic, unless they were doing way more than endo. biopsy.

As for removing polyps though it would be a good idea to be out!

I hope all goes well with the procedure for you! Should help out with AF.

I dont like doctors who are very short. It is like they get jaded after a while and forget that their patients need to be told what everything means, as we are not all as educated as they are! If I am paying for a 15 minute visit I expect to see your face for a whole 15 minutes! lol
