Yay, it came I ought it off ebay from an American seller just after xmas, think I am more excited than the cats though
Well, first impressions are.... Candy is petrified of it and runs off
, Smartie preferred the free mouse toy that she sent me with it but although she did have a little play with it. Billy and Floss like it but we aren't quite at jumping in the air stage yet
I will play with it every day with them and hoping it will give them all some much needed excersise
Here are some pics of Smartie (the black kitty) Billy (the British Blue) and Floss (my tabby) all seeing it for the first time. x

Haha I love the pics they are cute...I have one that plays with her wand toys but must be the cat that missed the landing on your feet gene because she leaps and pounces after her toys and almost NEVER lands on her feet trying to catch it lmao!!!

Aww bless her, mine are just too lazy at the moment to even jump in the air

I've heard a lot about Da Bird... what makes it so special? I went to the dollar tree and bought a wand toy for my cats and they love it and it hasn't broke yet after about a month of playing with it... to my surprise.

I love how Billy has it in his mouth. He looks so proud of himself

I don't know
asked the same question on here and then bought mine to see what the fuss was all about. It is very long and is on a kind of swivel so it actually moves like a bird. x

My boys LOOOOOVE this toy and a similar one called Feline Flyer. They also LOOOOOOVE the Cat Dancer... which is nothing more than a length of springy wire with some twisted pieces of carboard on the end. My alpha boy, Archie, runs in circles to catch it and jumps, too.

I am in the process of gathering some video clips of all the action and will post the best ones!

The device used to attach the feather or mouse (they also sell a mouse and tinsel ends - our kitties have gone even more nuts for the mouse (and it is TEENY! I don't get it! ...but Lazlo did a back flip to get at it!
)) is the same swivel used for fishing lures, so it spins rather than twisting the thread. It makes a very different noise than other wand toys, and the feathers really "fly."

Great pics!

I have one cat that is afraid of flying objects, so I drag it on the ground and under paper for her and she goes WILD for it!

The tinsel thing is a big hit, too, but put that mouse on it and Hannah goes CRAZY!!! Oh my gosh! I haven't seen her so excited over a toy in ages. The little mouse is TINY and has a LONG tail, too. I'm going to get some replacement mice.
