What country is this? 10,000 points!

I had run out of digital pictures of countries all except this one. This is of another new country but there is very little to go on but millions of people go to this place and somebody is bound to recognize it. BTW, I have thousands of other photos but they need to be scanned, and I cannot get my scanner to work or I would not have been so mean today.

Same rules, first with the correct answer is sent 10,000 points and you can only guess once. Remember, I NEVER use a country more than once. OK, here we go, the hardest one yet but surely somebody out there has been here. BTW, in the lower left corner is my grandnewphew.

No, beause I am going to give you a mighty big clue. This is just one of the entrances to one of the world's largest duty free/tax free stores. And it is not on an airport or near an airport. How many countries have totally duty free and tax free stores not on airports? This country is one of the few.

Singapore? DFS (duty free shopping) was one of my clients at my first professional job at Price Waterhouse and I seem to remember something special about their rules.

My guess is..... Japan?

I did not want to use this picture as I explained yesterday but my scanner is not working. What you see in the picture is just a very small entrance. The main entrances are in the rear where the gas pumps are. Yeah, gas is cheap here too. Cuban cigars and French cognac are pennies on the dollar. Those of you that have followed this game know that I have been all around this country in bordering countries. I had never posted it before because there is no clue as to where it is UNLESS you have been there and when I tell you what country it is you will understand. By the way, it is NOT Andorra, which is an independent nation between France and Spain. Can you find that on your map? Some day I will feature that one, too.

Looking at the time I posted this, you stll have over 4 1/2 hours to get this (a contest ends after 24 hours) and besides my next clue will ensure we do not need to end the contest with no winner.

This country is in Europe.

The USA has already been used. I did not realize there was a large import free store in the U.S. Only at an international airport and producing a ticket to a foreign country, or on a boat that could travel 3 miles from any the U.S to escape paying any kind of tax whatsoever.

OK, time is getting short. We have featured all of the countries surrounding this country. And this is the store they all flock to so they can buy $7 packs of Marlboros for less than $1. Most of the vehiches are vans which can carry several months worth of goods back to where they came from.

I have already told you it was not Andorra and that was a big clue. Andorra is a tiny independent nation that is landlocked. So is the country we are trying to get here.

I think I have given out enough hints for the correct answer to come in within the next hour and twenty minutes. Remember, if you have already guessed, you cannnot guess again.
