I work downtown and we have a bunch of stores that I can paroos on my lunch hour. One is Barnes and Noble. They have a staff picks section I like to look through, and saw this one recommended yesterday. I read it (they actually don't mind if you spend your lunch hour reading their books, so long as you don't damage the books and buy on occasion), and it is hilarious! It's on my wishlist for when I get a gift card again.

Binky the Space Cat

Click on view a spread to look at a few pages. I'm in love with Binky

Of course, Dewey. A friend gave me that book, and I fell in love with that little guy.

Cried like a baby at the end!

And, of course, "Homer's Odyssey." Not the Greek one.

If you want to do a little searching, find "Uncle Whiskers."

And a quick online search will find my short story, "The Cat Burglar."

LOVED this book. Its written by Gwen Cooper. I actually borrowed it from the library, then went online and ended up buying my own copy as well

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
I've read Dewey... and as my friend said, it's a minimum 5 hanky ending... I've just started Homer's Odyessy...

Bad me (may have mods chide me for this, since we aren't supposed to 'sell' in the Lounge) but check the Member's Marketplace for my book... sci-fi, oversized Siamese... with cat-i-tude...

I started reading the series with the feral colonies (YA section, drawing a blank on the name)... but got a little bored after the second one...

Others in my collection:

Dewey - of course, who could resist that cute fluffy orange kitteh on the cover? I will sympathize however, with the parents who were worried about their kid's allergies to a cat in the library. I thought the author was rather cavilier about that.

Homer - made me one of the hordes of homer fans out there

The Cat Who Covered the World: The Adventures Of Henrietta And Her Foreign Correspondent - the writing style was ok, but Henrietta's adventures were fabulous. I can't quite understand how they would let her be an indoor/outdoor cat in a place like Moscow.

If you give a cat a cupcake: Can you tell I like kid's books? Good, although not as good as if you give a moose a muffin. I want to get the little stuffed animal that goes with it.

James Herriot's Cat Stories - My mom read us a few of his books when we were younger and I just loved this collection of short stories

Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul - I demand more heart warming short cat stories!

Warriors. At least I think that's what you're thinking of. My kids love the series, but they're both teenagers. I read part of one but it just wasn't my thing.

The girls named our new addition HollyHeart- I have NO idea what kind of a cat it is- but I'm assuming it's a black female.....

Oh yes, I forgot James Herriott's stories.

I feel a kinship with Mrs. Bond (was that her name) who had that cat James could never catch. Ohhhh its on the tip of my tongue!

I still watch All Creatures on PBS. Love it.

The cat's name in James Herriots books was Boris. Now I won't be up all night trying to remember!

"I'm Mrs. Bond and I'm for cats."

She always had the heavy gloves handy when Herriot came to treat Boris.

I know the author didn't use the lady's real name name, but at the time I first read of Mrs. Bond, I had to laugh. We had a lot of cats at the time and that is my family name.
Never had a Boris, tho.
