Sexual or dominance behavior

OK. Tonight I saw something I have not seen before. One male cat mounting and humping another. At first I thought it was dominance behavior... Casper not liking Ghost on his window perch.. He jumped up and pinned Ghost and had him by the neck... the next thing I see... Casper going through the "motions" and then licking Ghost's face. This happened twice and Ghost didn't seem upset!

So, are they a couple now? Or is this like apes and monkeys ... where males will mount a lesser male to show dominance?

If everyone's neutered, it's dominance.

Thanks. Casper is a timid cat... He is afraid of the other cats, except Ghost. He does get bullied by Archie, so I think he is taking it out on poor little Ghostie.

How do I handle this? Do I keep Ghost out of Cas' room (Cas has his own room cuz of his fears.) Do I separate them? I pulled Cas off of Ghost the second time.

Would some Feliway help, ya think??? Didn't seem to help Casper before....
