For some reason, when we got our baby, delilah, she turned out to be a daddy's girl from day one.
we had our cat, penelope, pass away last year after 18 years.
she was a good cat, but she was my wife's cat.
a feral cat came to our house and had 4 kittens, she kept them on our carport for some reason and they became tame, although the mamma cat never did.
we kept delilah, a turkish van and brought her into the house, we gave away the other three to good homes.
when delilah was in the house, she took up with me and only me.
she would sleep in my lap, lay on my side of the bed and follow me from room to room like i was going to leave her or something.
finally she did take up with my wife, to her delight, but delilah still sleeps on the foot of my easy chair and sleeps on my side of the bed at night.
if i take a nap, she is there also. when she wants to play she comes to me.
she is my cat, i guess, and that is fine with me.
i did not know how much i could love that little furball.

That's great! I also had a moment where I realized how much I love my cats. They're very good companions

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
It must be a girl cat thing. My boys are MY boys they are mommys little darlings. But GiGi only comes to me as a last resort when her hubby (my bf) or her bf (Hercules) wont give her any affection. Even still she prefers the dog over me! If BF takes a shower and locks her out of the bathroom you can hear her thru the house yowling, screaming and throwing herself agaisnts the door trying to get in. *all the cats and dog know that if you hit the bathroom door hard enough it will pop open* GiGi will always and forever be her daddys little girlfriend...Shh dont tell him I told you all but she even has tried to nurse off him before when we first got her..LOL...I thought it was hiliarious!

Fluffy is a big daddy's girl. He sat out in the cold with her tucked inside his jacket on Christmas Eve 4 years ago, and she has never forgotten who rescued her. She adores him, and gets very jealous of me sometimes. Last night we were sitting on the couch and he was rubbing my back, she had a little hissy fit, meowing and yowling. If I massage him, she will push my hands away and knead him in the same place. She loves me at feeding time and when he will not pet her, but it is very obvious whose baby she is. He thinks she can do no wrong.

delilah is not jealous of my wife, but she prefers my company, when i sit in my easy chair, if she is not at the foot, she lays down beside my chair.
when she wants to play, she gets her fish or mouse out of her toy box and brings it to me.
she follows me from room to room like i am going to leave her or something.
she is a daddy's girl and that is OK with me, i love that little fuzz ball.

The last little kitty that adopted us started out as a foster. I finally said NO she's not going anywhere and my DH just looked at me and gave up (she was #7). She was approx 3 mos old and has CH(cerebella hypoplasia). She is an angel. Her name was Bella but we already had a Bell so my DH renamed her KK. Well she is now Daddy's little Princess KK. My DH picks her up and she instantly goes into a baby hold on her back and starts purring. My Dh is currently deployed and His princess is missing him big time

We have 2 Daddy's Girls in our house. Ophelia and Annie. Both are kitties we (I) rescued ourselves (myself, if you want to get technical). But they both chose him, totally and completely. And they are very, very jealous of each other.

I have a cat who is a (grand?)daddy's girl-- Harlequin loves my dad! She will fall asleep on his lap, it's so cute... Most of my cats are somewhat friendly with family members/friends but they don't usually cuddle up to anyone but me very often although Harlequin has been known to give people a face washing or a hair styling!

Nova is VERY much Daddy's boy, but it was just the 2 of them before we got together, so that's understandable.
Cleo II also seems to be very much a Daddy's girl and has been going to him a LOT lately.

That's awesome! Most of the kitties we've had have been total daddies girls, the one that was more attached to me was the only male kitty we've had. When we first got Alice a few months after DH's old cat Alizea passed, DH swore he didn't want anything to do with her but she wore him down with snuggles. Losing her was very hard on both of us. Then we get Rosalie and, low and behold, another daddies girl and he just can't understand why, LOL!

i LOVE men that love cats! my bf is one of them (i guess he'd have to be, huh?)

marvin is a daddy's boy... he and my bf are pretty much inseparable, and daddy refers to him as 'my son'. awww. he can snuggle marvin for about 20 minutes, and marvin just closes his eyes and purrs. me? i get about 35 seconds before he starts to fidget and want down.

lola is definitely my girl... she loves her mom, and is my big cuddly fluffball.

spivey is a toss up... she loves mom at dinner and brush times, and dad at lap time

Awww!

She found her special person, and that person is you! Nothing is more special than having a kitty choose you to be their person! What an honour!

Monster is a Mom-Mom's boy.. He absolutely
LOVES
BF's Mom. If Monster isn't being a Mom-Mom's boy, he's being a "doggy's" boy, because he loves the dog. The importance of people in Monsters life goes in this order: #1 in Monster's life is Mom-Mom, #2 Duke (the dog) #3 Pop-Pop (BF's dad) #4 Meowmy, #5, Daddy (BF).

Mittens absolutely LOVES me, so she is a Meowmy's girl. But don't get me wrong, she DOES love her Daddy too. She's 1/2 Meowmy's girl, and 1/2 Daddy's girl.

The newest addition is Precious.. She has me, her Meowmy, and (this is gunna sound weird) she has two Daddys. The reason she has two Daddys is cuz of course I'm her Mommy, and I started calling BF "Daddy" because he's my BF, and I always call him "Daddy" to my animals. But, when BF's cousin heard that, he got mad, saying "That's not right. Precious is 50% my cat." So BF is "Daddy #1" and BF's cousin is "Daddy #2". Precious loves everyone. But she is a Daddy #1's girl,
. No matter where she is, what she's doing, or who she is laying with if BF (AKA Daddy #1) comes into the room or calls her, she is gone in .2 seconds, and right on his lap, fast as lightening. Its a really cute thing, because he loves her just as much as she loves him.. He admitted to me he loves her more than he loves Monster and Mittens.
