So because of my new cat Bitsy's recent 2 episodes of inappropriate peeing, I'm going to try Feliway diffusers. The Vet Clinic I go to charges $67 (I'm here in Canada) for one diffuser and refill. That's ludicrous! - considering I need 3 of them (one for each level of home).

I did go to Amazon.com as someone here mentioned them being cheap there. Unfortunately the ONLY merchant there who ships to Canada, they charge $45 USD for shipping, which is also ludicrous - considering they charge only $5.95 for peeps in the U.S.

I see there's one company (shipping only $16.99 to Canada) there that sells a diffuser and a feliway refill but it doesn't seem to be the exact one from "Feliway" - it's one that says "Comfort Zone" and apparently includes a refill that contains Feliway.

http://www.amazon.com/Farnum-Comfort...3149461&sr=1-1

Is this the same thing? Are there 'knock-offs' of the real mccoy?

Anybody here in Canada who orders their diffusers or refills online? If so, where do you order them from?

Is this the same thing? Are there 'knock-offs' of the real mccoy? There seem to be different brands......are some better than others? Do some contain more of the pheromone than others? I'm a little confused.

Comfort Zone Feliway is the Same Feliway; so if they ship it to Canada for a decent price, go ahead and get it. Feliway is the original name - Comfort Zone is the new Brand... Same Company, same thing... They keep using Feliway as it refers to the pheromone itself, and it is more recognizable.
Have you tried Dr. Fosters and Smith? I am not sure how they are on Shipping to Canada, but maybe it is worth trying...
Good Luck, it is great stuff!

What Carolinalima said - and, keep in mind the diffusers are designed to work over a period of time - no instant relief. Although, having said that, when I started using one, seemed to work within a few days.

There's also a spray version, which is handy for spritzing into carrier before the vet visit - and is said to work well for marking problems to make the sprayed area seem more friendly to the cat.

Comfort Zone and Feliway are the one in the same. You might want to check eBay for sellers in Canada; I have gotten some good deals there.

Petsmart also sells them. I wait for them to go on sale and stock up. Some of the other pet stores sell a different brand called Nutri-vet...it's pretty good. I can't remember the price though.

My sister buys her feliway refills from entirely pets in bulk (pack of 6). They ship to Canada and the exchange rate is really good right now. Shipping is around $35 or so but with the price of 6 refills shipping and exchange rate she is still saving over $70. The vets here charge an arm and a leg for feliway diffusers/refills/spray.

You could also look on ebay for feliway or http://www.naturalpets.com/6pakfedire2m.html

Good luck!

I called to the local Petsmart and they charge too much, considering I need several of these. Here they charge $48 CDN for the diffuser+refill, and $35 for the 75ml spray. Us Canucks sure get ripped off.

I spent much of the afternoon searching online and found a site I ordered them from: www.absolutelypets.com

The diffuser + refill = $20.29 USD
refill = $14.95 USD
feliway spray 75mls = $14.95 USD

Shipping to Canada only $12.95 USD. For you in the U.S., shipping is cheaper.

Thanks everyone, for the helpful info.

For you in the U.S., shipping is cheaper. In the U.S., orders over $100 are FREE and there's a flat rate for shipping if under 3 lbs ($6.75 USD).

Here's more specific info from their website re: shipping rates, shipping methods, etc:

I purchased mine at Petco and thought it still was expensive. Also, Feliway comfort zone diffuser did not work for me with my cats. Good Luck!

I purchased a lot of Feliway diffusers from different sellers on ebay. They are way cheaper than buying from Pet stores or vets in Canada. They do ship from US but I never had any issues and always found them cheaper even with shipping. Lots of good deals there now. I had some success with Feliway.

I'm not sure if it was cheaper, but I purchased Feliway from my vet when I used it once. I'm also in Canada.

Im basically afraid to stop using it out of fear that it is helping.... lol.

with the dollar right now though.... last year i bought 10 refills from this one seller.... shipping and all i think it came to $110..... now their shipping alone is like $40 even to just buy 1 refill, from the same seller...

ive been looking at vitacost.... $9.99 for shipping no matter what... $33 for a package of 2 refills (which here would be $70+ easy), so even with exchange right now that may be the way to go...

I didn't know about vitacost. This sounds like a good deal with our nutty CDN dollar.!!!!

LOL at the exchange rate is good now, the CAD is so low I hate buying anything from the states. I hate that Canadians have more expensive everything :( It's like Amazon.com is amazing and then amazon.ca is just sad...
