After 6 year I decided I needed to put the blocks together and crochet the additional ones I needed. Somehow Kato got the idea this was his as he watch me crochet and I let him play with the yarn as I could repair any damage. As a result he doesn't chew the yearn. also, he doesn't like getting in a tangle on himself.

Awwww...I love kitties and their afghans. What a cutie!

(Oddly enough, I think I have the same afghan pattern around here somewhere. )

the pattern is in a book of afghans brought ob=ver 6 years ago. I thought it would be a good one to learn the patterns again. Did most of it and set it aside untill last fall.

One of the unwritten kitty laws is that all warm blankies belong to them. Some of us are lucky and our kitties will share.

Kato actually pull the afghan in that place. I am now using it to cover the couch. One of his favorite places.

Well that explains a lot!

Aw, Kato looks so comfy on HIS afghan (which is beautiful, by the way).

That afghan is BEAUTIFUL! I wish I could crochet or knit, but alas I have two left hands. Kato look's very happy , btw, that his project is now finished.

He watch me as knit or crochet. I feel he has figure out that I am putting the yarn together into a new object. I let him play with it as he wants and he doesn't do any damage.
He loves the Da Bird so much that he is pestering me to play. He has forgotten walking all together. His eyes light up, whispers moved and he stalks it. It is great to see him as happy as he is now.
No snow or rain, just cold weather around freezing and overcast skies.

thanks for the comment. We think he is a "neat" cat. He is as intelligent as any of our German shorthairs and his smell is as good or better than any of the dogs. They can air scent 1 mile away.

Taken when he was around 5 months, He loved that box. After awhile he had it figured out and didn't play with it again.

This is the patio he spends a lot of time on. We don't leash him and he seems to know his limits. The vacant lot he considers belongs to him. I wouldn't be surprise if he knows which cars belong to whom. He knows our car. Looking through some photos I found a picture of our motor home setup with Kato in it. I will up load it and then post it .

This is his new bed, place in his favorite window. He is refusing to have anything to do with it. He stands at the edge of the window and smells the air. He know his old bed is around and wants it back. We place him in the bed occasionally. The reason I got the pictures.

He is learning to use the leash. We spent our summers at this RV park. It locate on the edge of Idaho's wilderness areas. It is 5,000 ft high.

As I said under one post, here is our set up of the motor home. You can see Kato out on his leash. He could go that distance in all directions. We were inside the motor home. It is windy at that park. Farewell Bend is a state park. There is also a major commercial stop. The name comes from the fact that the Oregon Trail left the rivers to cross the Blue Mountains to the coast. Pioneers had to make the trip before winter. You are seeing the Snake River. the opposite bank is Idaho.

Thanks for the comment. Do you have a way to post videos? I have several of Kato now. I have place 4 on Cat channel. Trying to get them ready for You Tube.

We were at a park near the Pacific ocean. Kato refused to go beyond this point. Ffor some reason he like this bush. You could hear the roar of the ocean and there were wild cats (not feral), bear and other animals around. Too bad he couldn't tell us what he was smelling.

Several of Kato's videos are now on You Tube; look for them under penstemon1. I have a long way to go with his videos.
Kato play around for awhile. Then crawl under his afghan and promptly went to sleep. Waiting for him to come out. I got part on video and hope to get him coming out.

This is my favorite picture, I used it all the time in his Kimis.

At night the his bed was behind the curtains, he was peeking out to see what as happening.

Kato has won the battle on his new bed. His Dad brought out the old one and put it in the window. Kato is now sleeping with it. I am not sure what we will do with the old one. Take it to Simply Cats, cage-less, no kill cat shelter here in the Boise Valley.
