Question about posting pictures

I have a terrible time posting pictures on TCS. I'm not great with the computer; a friend helped me post a picture of Speck from my Photobucket album, a moderator reduced it to a reasonable size, and then a brilliant and kind TCS member made my signature for me. My friend told me he thought it had something to do with my camera setting? I would love to be able to post pictures. I was really diasppointed that I couldn't post the pictures of my gifts from my Secret Santa. Does anyone have any suggestions or am I a lost cause?

While you can set the size right in most cameras settings,.most of us just resize or set photobucket to resize uploaded pictures to 640x480.

Other than that, use the search function on here for detailed instruction or even go to google and look up "posting images on forums". Searching both ways may yield instructions with pictures - which tends to make it easy enough for everyone.

hi nurse. of course you're not a lost cause. Re: resizing, i assume most of us would rather do-it-ourselves instead of asking someone so here is an earlier thread on that. http://xr.com/iohtrop
