I'm going to upload photos to Target's website so I can have them printed and pick them up at their store. The photos have to be uploaded through Shutterfly, Kodak, or Photobucket. I was wondering if it makes a difference as to which company I upload them to. Last time, I used Shutterfly and was not happy with the coloring in the pictures that had cats in them. The coloring of the fur looked all wrong and unnatural. I don't know if that's Shutterfly's fault or the fault of the particular Target store the photos were printed at. My guess is that it was the fault of Shutterfly's color correction technology.

Does anyone have any suggestions on which company to use? Does it even make a difference? The first time I got photos printed at Target, the quality of the digital picture was fairly poor but the printed photo looked pretty good. That was a couple years ago and the photos were uploaded to Target through Yahoo photos.

The only experience I have with that sort of photo printing is with Snapfish. With Snapfish you can have your photos printed for pickup at Walgreens and Walmart. I ordered mine to pick up at Walgreens once and they came out great.

So I guess I can't really answer your question, only give you yet another option to consider..

I use www.artscow.com and they're fantastic. The photos look crisp like real 35mm film. They always have great deals so you usually end up getting a ton of free prints and pay shipping. It takes a week or two to get them usually, they come from China!

Instead of the Target process, you might try going to a Kinko's with your photos on disk. Most Kinko -- oh, they're called FedEx Office now, I just remembered -- most of them have a simple self-serve machine that lets you make your own prints on the spot, so you can see how the color looks before you fully commit.

I've seen similar machines (by Kodak, I think) in some Walgreen's and CVS stores, too.
