My Cinders lives and eats apart from the others, so I keep her food in a separate tin. I filled it yesterday from the sack in the utility room, using another tin as a scoop. This morning I started to pour some kibble into her bowl, and the first thing that fell out was a mouse! At first I thought it was a toy, but it was a real one, dead, but fresh. It was also rather fat, so I don't know how long it had been living in the sack of cat food. I don't know who was more surprised, me or Cinders. The look on her face was something to behold. Before you ask, I took it away at once - she did not get fresh mouse for breakfast after all.

Aw, geez, you're no fun. Take away a girl's mouse before she can play with it...

Haha, I bet she was mad at you for taking her treat away! Maybe your cat food will go further, now!

Well humans get cool toys in their cereal, so why not cats?
