My Cinders lives and eats apart from the others, so I keep her food in a separate tin. I filled it yesterday from the sack in the utility room, using another tin as a scoop. This morning I started to pour some kibble into her bowl, and the first thing that fell out was a mouse! At first I thought it was a toy, but it was a real one, dead, but fresh. It was also rather fat, so I don't know how long it had been living in the sack of cat food. I don't know who was more surprised, me or Cinders. The look on her face was something to behold. Before you ask, I took it away at once - she did not get fresh mouse for breakfast after all.
