What happened to Trillcat? She hasn't posted since the early morning hours of 1/3. It appears she is logged out of her account as there has been no activity since then. She was in a somewhat fragile state emotionally and physically in her last several posts.

Does anyone have a phone number or email or any way to check on her. I keep feeling REALLY uneasy about this.

Thanks---and hope I'm just being a "mother hen."

I haven't been here a long time so I have to ask, what happened to her? To upset her, I mean. Like, how & why was she in a fragile state emotionally/physically in her last several posts?
I hope I'm not being insensitive by asking and I hope this isn't a silly question or anything. But I'm pretty curious as well as rather concerned.

I'm sure you can read through her posts if you like.

To the OP, have you tried PMing her? When I get a PM it'll send me an e-mail telling me I have one, she might be more likely to check her e-mail than the site if something is going on

That same night that you are talking about I thought she had come back at one point after leaving saying that she was fine.

I've been concerned as well. I sent her a pm earlier today and I'm hoping she will reply. If I hear back soon, I will update.

I have been concerned about her too. Just the header of this thread: http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=210205 was particularly disturbing.

I check every time I log in but haven't found anything from her since 1/3.

Thanks StarryEyedTiGer. I think there are a lot more worried people than she realizes.

Sincerely hoping that she and Ginger are alright. Barry

I've PMd as well, this morning. Nothing so far.

I hope she's safe and getting some kind of help.

I've been thinking about her too. Maybe she went to stay someplace else while the heat was out in her place? Hope she is ok and hanging in there..

I'm hoping she got herself to the Doctor and maybe went to see her parents while they made repairs around the apartment. I think there was also a problem with the toilet flooding, poor thing!

Oh, no. I hadn't seen that thread about her blood pressure. That's very frightening. And so unnecessary -- high blood pressure doesn't have to be expensive to treat, or even to diagnose! The medicine I take is on the four-dollar list... $36 a year and it saves my life.

Bless her heart, I hope she got some help and will come back soon and tell us her BP is under control.

Despite the fact that I have almost 6000 posts and run myriad contests, I often go away for days simply because there are other things than TCS. I have been in the hospital many times but I always come back, usally with yet another contest. During Christmastime, with my wife in Cambodia, I was posting 20 posts a day but lately I have not posted much simply because I have been spending time with my wife since her return. Over the years I have seen a flurry of posts followed by an absence for a while and then back to a flurry of posts. It is normal. Go to her bio and get her email address, web or blog and PM if you are concerned. I was in ICU for two weeks and was not allowed to have a computer So I could not respond in any way and we were in the middle of a big contest. But I came back and although I know there will be more times I dissapeaar for a while, I plan to be around TCS for a long time. And I think Trillcat does too.

Not to hijack the thread, but I think it's important to point out that this is one thing for which everyone should say, "Thank you!" to Wal-Mart. They claim that just by their being in existence, the average American family spends $1800 per year less to maintain their lifestyle, and this is one good example.

Now, to the subject of Trillcat. I hope she's fine. I once worked on a forum on CompuServe called the Time Warner Pets Forum. (This forum was run by Best Friends, and when it closed it was replaced by www.bestfriends.org.) We had one regular member who suddenly posted a very dramatic post about suicide and disappeared. The forum administrators, through CompuServe, got enough information to find the member's home address and phone number. On checking, she turned out to have a completely different name (CompuServe had a "real name" policy at that time) and when a local member went to the door, she professed no knowledge of our member. Subsequent checking found that the composed, healthy, and wealthy woman at the door was, indeed, our erstwhile member and that this wasn't the first time she'd pulled this trick.

People are strange online. Trillcat is in my thoughts and concerns.

It's happened at TCS before too.

...but I believe our care and concern are geniune unless we discover Trillcat isn't.

A big difference here is that she didn't threaten suicide. She was having a panic attack.

Also, when dealing with such things, sometimes we just need to take a break from the world.

Anyone with FB? Is she a member of the TCS group or anyone friends with here there? (I don't know how it works). Has she been on there at all?

Yes, I don't see any reason to doubt her sincerity, and I must admit I was little concerned even before anyone mentioned it on the board.
