Pet insurance

Ok, so I'm seriously considering getting pet insurance. I know my few that have prexisting conditions won't be covered, but the majority have no preexisting conditions. What company do you all have, why did you choose them, and what do you pay per pet? Do you get discounts for multiple pets?

There are many many many threads about this.....
I LOVE my insurance company, and never had a problem with them - always had the best service, and the claims paid super fast, with no complications or headaches at all.
I pay $44/month for my three kitties combined for the most basic plan. I have a $100 deductible per incident, and I also pay 20% of the bill - that is pretty standard. I like the deductible per incident, as I don't pay it again per follow up - so if my pet has a surgery, or a disease that he needs to go to the ve multiple times, I only need to pay that one deductible, and not every time I go to the vet.
This Company is also the only company that will pay the vet directly, if the vet agrees with. All the others I need to pay upfront and then get reimbursed.
The plan I have, the most basic plan, pays a maximum of $2,500 per incident. There are no annual limits, and will pay a maximum of $42,500 per life of the animal.
It covers pretty much everything, all accident and diseases, as long as they are not pre-existing - all tests, hospitals, MRIS, cat scans, emergencies, specialists, cancer, prescriptions, even euthanasia... They also have an optional for wellness, but I don't think it is worth it, unless you need to spay/neuter, or do dentals, that kind of expensive stuff to subsidize the cost.
They do have a multi-pet discount... The key IMO is to enroll them young. IMO it is the best thing I have done for my peace of mind.

Thank you. I hadn't looked at that one. I was deciding between trupanion and Pet Plan, but I'll look at this one too.

I used it [quite a few times with both Bugsy and Lucky, for Illness and Emergencies - one word - PAINLESS! They are awesome.
But really what got me was the option to pay the vet directly - in case of a big expense, this can be a make it or break it for me...

I know that my vet wouldn't have a problem with waiting until I got the insurance check for me to pay her, so that wouldn't be a big deal. I have 3 cats with preexisting conditions, but the rest have no problems, so I think it'd be smart to do it now.

Awesome!!!
I stick by them, by experience... IMO they are excellent... And again, I have plenty of personal experience so...

As far as reviews goes, this one sounds really goods too, although I do not know anybody personally who has it, so I can not vouch for them - but... Take a look: http://www.gopetplan.com/Cat-Insurance-Policies.html#
Good luck on your search!!
