Website w/pic of Deshler NE-town hit with tornadoes last week!

I found this website tonight and it's got lots of pictures of the damage in Deshler Nebraska. For those who don't know, Deshler was hit with 4 tornadoes on June 22. That town is only 30 miles away from where I live and it was a pretty situation for all Nebraskans. Thankfully Fairbury (my home) wasn't hit with the tornadoes, but Deshler was all but destroyed. One man lost his life and 7 people were injured...we're all very thankful that more were not hurt or killed.

Wow...how sad for all those people affected by the storms. Any word on what number on the Fujita scale?

I haven't heard anything about that. People in my town are still pretty upset with what happened and are spending alot of time over there cleaning up. It is pretty rare that 4 tornadoes hit the same town. That happened in 1985 in Grand Island Nebraska, but it was 8 tornadoes in 24 hours. Very scary! Luckily I was only 8 years old and don't remember anything about it. They even made a TV Movie about the Grand Island tornadoes. It was on the Lifetime or maybe it USA channel...not sure, but it appeared to be quite frightening.

I'll search the web about the scale of those tornadoes...I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned before.???

I just found on another site, that the tornadoes were listed as F2's. We did have a F4 in Coolridge Nebraska the very next day! I'm not sure exactly where Coolridge is, but I do believe it is much more North from here.
