just like I did yesterday when I found out that my brand new phone's calandar only goes to December 21, 2012.

I go for a looooong walk!!!

I used to walk around my apartment yelling bad words.....but I try not to yell now because it freaks Larry out.

Now I bang things. But that freaks him out too.

So I stand in the middle of the apartment and take some deep breaths, put on my headphones and turn on some tunes......but only after I pick up Larry and listen to some good, calming purring.

It depends on the degree and the why. I go for walks or drives, I dig in my garden, sometimes I cry. Once I was so angry at a person whom I will not name that I went outside and started digging. I ended up setting 3fence posts and a couple of sections of picket fence around a flower bed before I cooled off.

Answering your question,... ...I think depends how Angry I feel but Usually I stop to talk to ANYONE...

I usually don't talk for hours, though that's not that unusual for me and Mom doesn't realize I'm mad. (G).

I usually stopping talking and go to my room. I prefer to be alone when I am mad.

I usually cry or eat...it makes me feel a lot better. Or I watch Psych because that show makes me laugh no matter what!

I used to smoke... (yah not a good one, but it worked) When I quit I had a heck of a time finding something to do when angry because I've always dealt with anger in a negative way (smoking, punching a wall, etc.).

I do yell, but am working very hard on not doing that.
I try to isolate myself untill I have calmed.
Occassionally I'll throw something soft at the wall. (doesn't do damage, but relieves me of the physical side of anger)

That made me check my phone to see if it goes farther than that. Mine goes until December 31, 2100. That made me laugh because its only 2010 and my phone already sucks.

For me, it depends on why I am angry. If I am angry at my husband, I usually go into another room or go to bed. If its just in general, I usually listen to music. When I was younger it used to be heavy metal music that made me happy when I was mad. Now I tend to listen to pop music to make me happier. Like today, my puppy is driving me nuts so right now I am listening to Katy Perry.

As others have said, it depends on the circumstances -- why I'm angry, at whom, even where I am. My response can be anything from taking a walk, to finding a private place for a good weep, to throwing some darts, to listening to music (usually the Bruch G minor Violin Concerto).

Is it a Mayan phone?

For me it also depends on the circumstances. I generally try to calm down a bit before doing anything...it helps to give myself a chance to think first.

Hopefully no one is around when I get angry. I am not pleasant when angry so good that I live alone and I never take anything out on Autumn.

I almost always write. I don't do well with confrontation, so I like to "yell" in writing, then sort it all out.
