Lily is really closely bonded to me, and follows me everywhere during the day now
She's gotten much more relaxed in the 3 1/2 years we've had her, but still only follows me when DH isn't around.

Not all that long ago she would spent most of her days sleeping behind the couch, now she only runs behind the couch if a big noise startles her eg. a big truck rattling through our complex close by the window.

Today I had a nap, and woke up to her snuggled up with me, then went and studied for a while, and she napped in the cat tree in my study, and I've just moved back to the other room with the computer, and she followed me immediately and curled up in here next to me
It's such a big change from the fraidy cat who would run and hide if you walked near her!

Aww! Yay for Lily!!

My girls will follow me from room to room at times, especially the bathroom. I wish they wouldn't in the kitchen though. Both have been stepped on or tripped over multiple times.

Yep! They are always in the same room I am, and Lucky within a few feet away from me.
Bugsy needs to sleep cuddling with me.

I discourage kitchen hanger-outers too. I am clumsy in the kitchen and worry about dropping something on one of them. Just the other day I dropped a big sharp vegetable knife (after cutting myself). If there had been a cat at my feet, tragedy would have resulted.

As long as they stay in their Meal Spots I don't mind, but I shoo them out if they start winding under my feet.

To answer the original question, yes, I get followed around. I love it!

Lucy get exhausted on the weekends when we're home. She follows us all over the place. About 2:30 PM, she will get so tired that she is falling asleep on her feet. That is when she will finally go take a nap.

Nora follows us everywhere, and must be in the same room one of us is in. Even if she is seemingly dead asleep and we leave the room she will jump up and follow us. She also needs to be within a couple feet of us, usually in our laps, though.

Aw, yay Lily! I love hearing happy stories like this.

Evie goes through moods... For a while she'll be glued to me... Then next thing I know she wants nothing to do with me.

Aya re-imprinted on me as her mom, I think so she follows me, but given that her world is a Japanese sized studio apt. that's not a difficult task. It mostly involves watching me while I sleep and following me into the bathroom.

I've got a follower his name is EG. He pretty much will plop down at my feet wherever I settle in the house. Isabell on the other hand could care less. I have to go to Isabell to love on her not that other way around.

Yep, they both follow us. Usually if DH and I are in the same room, the cats will be there too. Cindy follows DH, it's really cute. She'll be upstairs sleeping, he will come downstairs, pretty soon here she comes too. Swanie is my little follower. Right now they're both down here with me.

I think my cats don't follow me much because of my new dog. He is very playful and tends to irritate the cats with his antics.
