We just got home (stayed an extra day and travelled home on Monday). There was 26 alters (none absent) at the show. In the long hairs 10 out of 11 cats were grands and in the short hairs 13 out of 15 were grands!

We came home with three finals (all all breed) - 5th, 6th, and 10th.

CFA show end of the month and then no shows till in April.

Amanda - he got his Grand Champion at the October show - this was his first one as a new Grand. He's now 1/2 way to a Double Grand (needs 15 more pts).

In ACFA after the initial grand, you can earn more (up to Quad Grand). You then count defeated grands for points. He can only earn up to 5 points in each ring (30 total points needed). So in the ring he got 5th best he defeated 5 other grands. And you can also count any grands that didn't make the finals.

As long as there is a majority of grands in the class, you can pretty much get 5 points in every ring between final placement and the ones that didn't make it.
