Oh my goodness! I just saw this thread! I'm so glad your doggies are OK, Sam!!! And you're not a pyschic vampire, not at all!

Just a thought . . . maybe you could put a sign up for the garbage man telling him to make SURE he closes the gate ALL the way so that the dogs don't get out? That might save you from any further worry and heart-ache.
