Daily thread Friday Jan 1 2010 - Happy New Year!

I went to look for the daily thread.... and realized Natalie (Trouts Mom) must be lounging around with DH today as planned!

...but I didn't want to start the new year without one! So even though it's late in the day...

...we've been playing or snuggling with kitties, napping, and watching movies.

All the snow is melting, and it's a balmy 38 degrees outside!

HAPPY 2010! It's not just a new year - it's a new decade!

Quiet day for me today. I got up at about 10:30, fed the kitties, surfed the internet for a while, took a nap, fed the kitties again, and now I'm back on TCS. The rest of my day will probably be similar.

Good Afternoon!!

We are literally laying around today watching movies...we slept in until 11am and boy did I need a day like this.

We are going to go to the casino tonight since last night the weather was too dicey.

That's about it!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Quiet day for us. Mom watched THE ROSE PARADE, the only float I watched was the Snowboarding Bulldogs. My sister came over after the Parade and brought her homemade Macaroni and cheese casserole, and of course, blackeyed peas for luck, collards, (green for money) and apple sauce. Topped off with Peppermint Ice Cream and a piece of chocolate. Other than that we've been watching a BARNEY MILLER MARATHON.

I was in bed before midnight last night, and slept badly so I had a lie in. DH and I cleaned up a little, did some laundry, now he's back at work. I should be doing some study, but you know....

It's a bone chilling -2F here today - what a way to start the new year!

We had another Christmas get together with different family - other than that I don't want to go outside!

Watching "The Matrix Revolutions" on cable, did I hear there is a "Lord of the Rings" trilogy on starting today?

LOL I was asleep when the New Year came in and woke up when someone set off some loud noise. I finally got up at about 9am which is sleeping in for me since I normally get up at 6:30. Lounged about all day either reading or surfing the net. We went out about 3pm. We were going to go to Costco but of course they are closed. We then went to Starbucks so I could use my Christmas gift from the exchange at work. (A $10 gift card) Got a Venti Mocha Frappachino with whipped cream for both DH and me. Then to Subway for sandwiches and home for the rest of the day. I am still nursing the Starbucks since it is giving me a brain freeze if I drink it too fast.
