A rescuer's story

It is not directly cat related I know, but the same thing happens when you go into a high kill shelter for cats - and it shows the difference social networking can make for an animal

If you can make it through the video without crying, you are stronger than me

I can't take cries right now - happy or sad. I'll have to look at this one later!

It does have a happy ending, I promise - but it still made me cry

That is so sweet... He is definitely a sweet puppy I hope he gets a good home.

I pretty much started crying at the first shelter shot. Shelter's always get me in tears.

Me too, it looks way too much like every high kill shelter I have been in and makes me thankful for the way we designed our own shelter to make it bright and inviting

Yeah Stanley! I cried at the first pictures of that shelter. I am full to capacity...I wish I could take more in but I dont have the resources to care for more than what I have.

I pray that someday we will not need these places...that all animals are in safe, healthy homes. That is my New Year's wish.
