Well, it is another cold one today. I think it is -20 right now

Our car is still in the shop, hopefully we get it back today.

Off to work in a bit...chinese food lunch today! And it is the best Chinese Food

Good am from the s. shore of Lake Ontario! A bit milder here about 20 something. Yesterday it was 11!

Going to make split pea and ham soup in the crock pot today! Yummy!

Morning! Short day at work today, I'm leaving about 1:30, have to go get my tags and license (late of course

) do a few things to get ready for me going out of town for NYE- you'd think I was going away for a month the way i'm freaking out

Yesterday I scheduled all my bills to be paid for the month, bought the cats 2 big bags of food

I haven't packed yet tho

I'm only going for not even 2 whole days, so that part should be easy

Well its 11F (12C) currently, overcast (wow not surprise there) with a small amount of snow in the forecast.

Not much going on-work, bit of picking up around the house and then perhaps after work a bit of shopping for a baby outfit for my brand new great nephew.

Still moving slowly as my back is still stiff from falling on ice Sunday morning.

The cats are all in their morning nap mode!

Morning,

I'm just getting ready to head back into work for the first time since Christmas. I'm really looking forward to it.

I've really been unfocused lately, so getting any work at all done would be a big plus. I've told myself I'm going to finish up the chapter I'm working on by the end of the year, so I need to get cracking. I need to go by the gym after work - something else I've been neglecting. I don't want to completely wear myself out, so it will be a short workout, but I just need to do something. Otherwise, I start getting little aches and pains in various joints like my knees and ankles.

Had to cancel my surgeon appt. No sense in getting anyone else sick

If this is a sign of my new year, I don't want it.

That said, back to bed I go.

It's a Hump Day, but it's my last working day of the year. Yay! I'm taking a personal day tomorrow and Friday is New Year's, so I'm finished. It will be a busy day as I'll have to get some end-of-year tasks finished by this afternoon.

It's cold outside this morning but, thankfully the gusty winds have stopped and it's sunny. Life is good.

Going to our farmers' market over lunch today for some produce; we need green and red peppers, mushrooms, green beans, garlic, and tomatoes. I love our local market, even during the winter. I'm walking over to the market with some friends from work. It will be fun. Cold, but fun.

Doesn't really feel like "hump day" as Monday was a holiday. Today is chilly and overcast. Wiggies has been cracking me up as he saw some crows and they really bug. He carries on at them getting quite worked up! Silly boy, I say let him eat crow.

Morning. Ouchy day so far, and I'm still waiting to hear from my doctor. If she even got the message to call me. But anyway...

Another work day, gotta go do my site inspection at some point and then send out my report and photos, and that's pretty much all that absolutely needs to get done so I may ask to take the rest of the day off when I'm done with all that. I don't think we have any plans for this evening which is fine by me. If I feel better later I will probably do some stuff on Wii Fit which I got for xmas. It's really cool. Other than that, some laziness.

I am headed to NC for New Year's and I am getting ready to leave. On the 1 hand, I am super excited because it is the first vacation I have taken in 15years. On the other hand, I feel bad because Ollie and the kitties have to stay here. Ollie is being boarded but the kitties will stay home-- much less stressful for them. I won't be gone long but I still feel bad lol. Have a great day everyone!!

ETA: I am still sorta sick and barely have a voice too! I am going to finally meet a friend that I met online but we have been taking for quite a while now too. It's 1 of those I know his friends and family but never met him type of things.

This morning I was rudly woken up to Jack slapping me upside the head in my sleep around 5am this morning

(he was sound asleep) I was not thrilled

I rolled over and went back to bed for a while after that.

Jack and I went to his grandparents house around noon for lunch with his grandparents and some of his family (they're really sweet.) After that I went to my best friend's house for a few minutes to see some of our friends that were in town for the holidays.

At 3 I met with my dad for the first time in years....it was weird but ok I guess. At least he showed up and didn't flak out, that's a start. We caught up on a lot of things so I guess that's good. After that, I came home and my stepmother (who I also had not talked to in years) called me and we talked on the phone for about two hours...she appoligized for a lot of things and it seems like she's made some positive changes, so that's good. After dealing with all of that stuff, I decided I needed a little feline TLC...so I spent a good while playing with Kojak and his feather toy thing.

It's been a bit of a long day. I'm thinking a nice shower sounds good!
