Gah I came home and noticed Mr Google is holding one ear funny. I tried to look in but he immediately started growling and I knew I should put him down before I lost some skin and blood. But I plan on purritto-ing him later and getting a better look. Is there anything I can do to safely clean it and make it better? I will get him to the vet asap but the earliest would be tomorrow morning. Is there anything for tonight?

My advice is leave it alone, and let the vet look at it in the morning. You'll only upset him trying to look in there and may not know what you are seeing anyway.

Mazy cat gets chronic ear infections, and gets great relief from the tresaderm drops the vet prescribes.

Oh god... I fear having to do any sort of drops or pills with this cat... he may kill me before I administer the first dose!

Callie used to get chronic ear infections and we had very good success with Tresaderm. There is a medicated gel goop that the vet can use that is absorbed by the body and flushed out of the ear naturally. If you'd like the name, I can find it for you. It's quite messy in the beginning, but once everyone gets used to it, it's a charm.

If it is ear mites, you can treat him with a dose of revolution, instead of ointments and drops. Ear mites kind of look like wet powdered coffee bits stuck in and around his ears.

I was going to do the revolution. But the vet didnt even mention that and just gave me the drops... which sucks. And since I already paid for them I guess I will use them. He doesnt seem to mind as long as I do it quickly!
And we are using this weekend as a good trial to see how a cat will do at Garys. Should be interesting! He's never had kitties before so I think Google will be a good test for him! LOL!
