4-Legged Overnite Guest in the house

We have a 4-legged guest in our house tonite and tomorrow. Our friends that normally babysit Keno for us when we go to shows had a funeral to go to (out of town).

So we are babysitting Trixie (cocker spanial) over night and tomorrow. Keno and her are friends, but the cats have not come out of the basement. They do not appreciate a guest of the 4-legged kind.

Trixie has a crate and she will be crated when we can't supervise, so hopefully the cats will consider coming up tonite. At least its only a day.

Trixie is well behaved tho, but wants to chase the kitty if she sees them.

That's very kind of you. And somehow I'm sure that if the kitties knew why there is a four legged guest that wants to chase them, they'd understand.

That's very nice of you to doggie sit for them - it helps to know that Keno & Trixie get along!

My cats always freak a bit when there are new foster doggies in the house....esp. since a lot of dogs automatically try to chase/play strange cats.

Haha! We just babysat my son's girlfriend's two dogs! They were pretty interesting. I don't think the one has seen cats before, she was just beside herself, and I think she will sleep very well tonight now that she's back home!

You mean the dog sleeping well, or the cats sleeping well ?

The cats pretty much ignored the dog, and moved about as per usual. I'm afraid whenever the dog saw a cat in a different spot she thought it was a new cat. Poor thing thinks we have 20 cats!
