Weak in the knees

We had the park Christmas party last night and went dressed to the nines and dropping jaws of people who see us every day in grubby work clothes.
I was dressed in a floor length turtleneck merino wool sweater dress with matching floor length sleeveless duster in khaki, sporting an updo and more makeup than I've worn in 20 years
The food was excellent, the atmosphere one of love and camaraderie.

Afterwards, 7 of us, including Angelo, went to our local dive bar for Karaoke night.
Way over dressed for the place of course.

It was a blast, Angelo sang 5 songs, but one he came over, and sat with me, took my hand and sang directly to me.

Every woman in the place was scowling at me for that

Later we slow danced in very close Cuban fashion while he sang in my ear and ended the song with a kiss.
He couldn't stop saying how beautiful I looked.
All I can say is 'Oh my!'

We closed the bar, something else I haven't done in 20 years

Ever the gentleman, Angelo saw me safely inside my home and went home to bed.
The guy is really starting to get to me

We had an absolute blast

Sounds like a magical evening. Angelo seems to quite the romantic.

Oh so romantic!!!

I've never even heard DH sing but I've always thought having a sweetheart sing to me in my ear while slow dancing would be just the most romantic!! At lest DH is romantic in other ways!!
