Morning folks....

Not much going to happen today.... I decided to go and get sick starting yesterday but it didn't affect me till bedtime.

My sinuses are so swollen you can actually see it in my face
sore throat, blah blah blah.

Our Christmas tree will come down today, and the day will be spent relaxing and recovering.

My DD is leaving for her fathers. She's excited because he has moved to Ottawa, and she has never been there before. She'll be gone for the week, and back on the 1st.

Still no snow.... It rained yesterday
It was a brown Christmas with a little of green in it.

MIL sent us home with some leftover turkey, potatoes and stuffing so I don't have to cook today...which is good.

No mad dash boxing day shopping for us.

Have a great day folks.

Mom and I are going to have lunch with my sister and my brother, who flew in late last night, and I think we have some more presents to open. Maybe I'll get those books I didn't get yesterday.

Sorry you are feeling sick again Chris!

We stayed up way too late last night so I'm sleepy today. With all the snow we got (and it's still coming down), I think it's a good day for a nap in front of the fire with a pile of kitties on me. Anyone who is lamenting a white Christmas can have all of our snow - we can't even get the cars out because of the drifts.

We had great entertainment last night when the county snow plow landed in the ditch in front of our house last night and was stuck up above the wheel wells in snow (the drifts were bad). We asked him if he wanted to come in to stay warm while he waited for help and offered him some Christmas spirits but he declined both. It took them about 1-1/2 hours to get the truck out of our ditch but it was interesting to watch the monster tow truck pulling it out. I'll go out sometime today to see what kind of ruts they left behind.

Have a great day everyone!

Hope you're feeling better soon.

Well, this morning, we went, we saw, we shopped, and we're home. Our best deal was a 4-place setting of Pfaltzgraff Winterberry dishes. We have a rather large family when everybody decides to come to our house, so the extra placesettings will take us to 16....I could still use a few more, but it can wait until next year. The store was advertising 70% off, but it was really more like 80%. And I got three Winterberry trivets, for about $4 each. Good deals. I use the Winterberry dishes throughout the winter months, so it works out well for us.

We're staying inside for the rest of the day. DH plans to settle on the sofa for a day of watching football. I'm going to settle under the bed covers with the cats and read for awhile.

Enjoy!

I'm not doing much today either. As we speak I am washing a load of clothes, real exciting right :-) It is a dark, rainy day here but the rain is melting a lot of the snow still on the ground from last week. Feel better.

Not a whole lot going on here so far. I slept in a little bit and then ate some yummy breakfast my mom had made (homemade sausage & biscuits!
)

Now my mom is curled up on one couch with her kitty, Jasmine, and I'm on my couch with my kitty Kojak, who is happily drooling all over me

We're watching one of the "Garfield" movies! In a little while I plan to grab a shower then meet my best friend at the store. After that I'm going to see Jack

Today is our 16th Anniversary.
...although our meeting each other is a nice round number - that happened 30 years ago.

We're just enjoying watching some favorite movies together.
