I can't wait! We had to buy tickets 24 hours in advance, all shows are selling out! I have heard it's awesome, and from people who missed the Imax experience.........
!
Any one here seen Avatar yet?

No, but a friend of mine worked on the movie, in the animation area.

Do let us know how the movie is!

I saw the movie but not the 3D version. It was amazing I want to see it again! Love it!

Tips:

Arrive early and sit as far back as you possibly can. There is so much going on and so many colors and textures that it is hard to take it all in at once, you'll have a better shot the further away you are!

Its almost 3 hours long, eat first but drink sparingly, and go pee before you go in. There is no lull in the action to give you a chance to go during the movie!

I am surprised so many like it! I always get the feeling like movies with special effects and action movies try to impress their audience with just that- not the plot but pretty sights and action scenes. While those are definitely fun I cannot sit through a movie for so long without getting bored unless there is a good story. I am scared to go watch it because 3 hours is too long anyway, there hasn't been a single movie that was longer than 2 hours that has managed to keep my interest and attention lol

Saw it. Not in 3D though. It was good. Totally worth a trip to the movies.

The plot is a little simplistic though. The villians were kind of cardboard bad guys and I saw the ending coming a mile away.

Still totally worth it.

I saw it a week ago - not IMAX or 3D unfortunately but we did go Gold Lounge.

I enjoyed it but it wasn't wonderful - some parts were unique and interesting but really just a basic story line (love)

I rarely go to the movies since I'd rather watch On Demand or go to Blockbuster but....I do want to see Avatar on the big screen so I will be going to see it. Our theatre has the 3D experience or without it. Don't know when I'll be going but I do want to see this. I don't even remember when I went to a theatre to see a movie last, that's how long it's been.

OK everyone, I have to tell you this was the best movie experience yet for me! This movie was awesome! I did see it in Imax 3D, my first 3D movie since the 80's so that was a different experience in it's self! Second Imax movie, it's the best movie to experience this, not to mention a great movie! We did Have to sit a bit close to the screen, which took me a while to adjust to the 3D, but soooo worth it!
I highly recommend everyone see this movie Imax 3D, make it a family event!
