I got some pretty neat stuff. I got two pair of scissors, some dish clothes, a watch, a new dress and a necklace to go with it, a shirt, a T-shirt, a big candy cane, the BANANAGRAMS game, the DVD of UP, a lipstick holder, a MAGIC FISH BOWL, some stationary, two pens, a notebook , a change purse and a Snuggie. My only disappointment was I didn't get any books! And I had asked for one book in particular. But other than that, I'm very happy with what I got. Did you all get nice presents?

Well, let me see.....I had really only asked for things for my kitchen this year.

I received my new Kitchen Aid Professional mixer in Empire Red (Since I have two KA mixers, the old Classics, in Cobalt Blue, I gave one to my niece-to-be, who was very grateful. I'm keeping one of the old mixers for those baking days where I'm mixing and baking a ton of things at one time.). The Keurig one-cup unit with several kinds of K-cups for coffee and cocoas, and the new Stephen King book Under the Dome. I received a Chicago Metallic brownie baking pan that makes individual servings...can't wait to try that pan!

Several serving pieces to my Fiesta dishes, which are my everyday dishes. I'm collecting all the colors and the serving pieces are in Scarlet. The food grinder to my new KA mixer, and the new Alton Brown book about the first ten years of Good Eats (AB is my cooking hero; I adore that guy.).

A small baking pan from Pampered Chef and some really neat pictures of our little grandchildren as well as a calendar featuring the kids. Oh, and a new exercise mat.....my old one was starting to get huge tears in it (I really do use my exercise mat....honest; the proof is in the seeing; I'm talking really big tears from several years of use).

And a bag of peanut M & Ms.

From my brother - Celine Dion perfume and body lotion, a nice fleece robe and it came with slippers.

From my parents - a nice necklace from my mom and a little one that says mother/daughter on it we just have to find a nice chain for it, a gift card for Mcdonalds, a pajama shirt, a nice sweater and a shirt to go under it, shoes I asked for..

From my co-worker I got Marshmallow Cream, Candy-cane hot cocoa (my favorite) and a coffee cup you can take anywhere. I got Marshmallow Creme to put in my hot cocoa and it's so good!

From my boss

(the lady who runs the shelter where I work) I got a nice Christmasy throw pillow, a utterly lovable dogs book, some chocolate, peppermint rush chapstick, a energizing fragance thing I have to figure that out, french vanilla hot cocoa, a collar charm for our puppy we adopted that says pure mutt, a cute cat stationary set, a magnetic notepad with reindeer on it, a nice wolf shirt, some candy canes, some treats for my cats and dogs, etc.

also we adopted a puppy a week ago from the shelter where I work for the holidays and forever.

I got:

- Applebees and 99 giftcards
- Super Mario Bros for the Wii
- New pots and pans
- Casserole dish set
- waffle maker (all three of the kitchen stuff were from our wedding registry)

(soo comfy)
- extra height for my wii fit balance board

FH got Seasons 1-6 of NCIS (from me) and a season of Law and Order SVU, season of Family Guy, and some other DVDs. Plus a giftcard. Most of the stuff was for both of us, which is fine cause we got some stuff we definitely wanted.

I have footie pajamas too!!! Mine are dark blue with stars on them, but I agree, they are soooooooo comfy! FH's mom and my mom make fun of us, because we both have them, but I don't care. They are so incredibly warm and comfortable that I don't care if people make fun of me.

Hmmmmm, I loved everything I got this year.... except one and we'll get to it:

for starters: a beautiful purse, oodles of chocolates, a thoughtful care package, all my wonderful SS stuff.

Then yesterday I opened:

- a velvety throw
- popcorn, mittens, sunflower seeds, a movie
- fairy statue

The one I didn't like:

- a pair of cubic zirconia earrings.... Which are BIG compared to what I like. I thought maybe my hubby OOPSed and I smiled at them, and thought to myself that I hope he doesn't want me to wear them LMAO.

Then once all was said and done he pulls out a little box that was not under the tree and hands it to me.

- a pair of diamond studs
Canadian diamonds too. I LOVE em.... they are beautiful and suit me perfectly.

The first pair were a gag gift, cuz he knows I don't like big jewlerry...

Then we went to the in-laws where we draw names, and I got:

- 2 webkinz and another Night Fairy statue to add to my collection.

I am very very happy with all the thought everyone has put into my gifts
It was the best Christmas I've had in many years.

My girls gave me 2 days with no fighting

From my stepdad I got a bottle of my favorite cologne, so I can continue to smell nice another year.
From my mom I got a couple of long sleeved Tees.
From Angelo I got all of Christmas evening with him and he told me I have a piece of his heart

I have another party to go to tonight.
The resort owner throws a bash every year where he wines, dines, and gifts all of everyone who attends.
I hear he's not a cheapskate with the gifts either.

We got so much stuff! I love it all and appreciate it, but it is a little ridiculous! My boyfriend's family goes nuts at Christmastime, I guess because they get nothing during the year!

From my boyfriend: Very warm winter boots, a Wii game, some lindor chocolates, a stereo for my ipod, and a Canada Olympic sweater.

From my boyfriend's parents/siblings (he has 5): A FM transmitter for my iPod, a spindle of CD-Rs, a couple sweaters, a scarf, some socks, a Walmart gift card, a Cineplex gift card, and $50 cash. We also got a popcorn maker (one that cooks it in butter...yumm!), another walmart gift card, a Keg gift card and another Cineplex gift card to share.

From my parents: We got a leather coffee table/ottoman thing with storage underneath, a neat looking kitchen appliance that opens cans, grates cheese, juices oranges, etc (we'll see how well it does all those things, but it looks neat!), and a breakfast in bed type table to go on top of the new ottoman. We also got a sweater each.

From my aunt: A shirt and a fleece jacket.

I also got a ton of little things from my students...lots of small gift cards, etc.

We're also supposed to get an older DLP 50" TV (the big kind that sit on the floor) delivered today (bought for us for our birthdays...we're both December babies)....so I have lots of things to find homes for and a new living room arrangement to figure out!!

As I said, I loved everything...but I think my best gift was Delilah (who has not been feeling well) getting up and eating a bit of breakfast and starting to act a bit more like herself! I would give up all the presents in the world for my babies to be healthy!

That is a wonderful present. that it continues.

I know out of all my material presents, the ones I appreciated most were the ones with thought, and my fav one: My daughters doing all they could to not bicker
Gosh I love my kids.

There's no place like home
The funniest gift: slippers from every critter in the household except for Koko, who really enjoys licking my bare toes - she didn't want them covered!!
But Koko got me some new PJ's so that she snuggle up to me.

My family sent food - chocolate, tamales, cookies.

My dear friends hit the jackpot with 2 wool Navajo wall hangings - one of them most likely an antique and the other more recent. Both are beautiful and will finally force me to redecorate the art on my walls (long overdue).
