Good morning....

Santa typically occupies our children upstairs with a single package so that us parents can get breakfast n' stuff.

So they've been up for a bit and we've been up for 15mins

I'd like to take this time to wish ALL my friends out here a very Merry Christmas.

May your day be safe, happy and you feel loved.

Happy Christmas Everyone

Merry Christmas to you too and all of you on here. Suprisingly our kids didn't get up until 8am so not bad, then it was a race between them to open the presents
. My house looked like goodness knows what, have just tidied up and the beef is in, hubby is cooking dinner, which is fab but I have to do all the washing up and clearing up afterwards! Never mind, we are having a fab day so far and my friend and her children are coming round after tea, great day
Tomorrow, we are laying on a buffet and have Johns parents, my parents, my grandma and step-grandad, my Aunt, my brother, Johns sister and her kids and bloke and Johns grandad. I'm sure it only started off with a small number of people coming
Oh well the more the merrier !! Hope everyone has a nice christmas no matter what you do. xx

Merry Christmas to all

This year is hubby & my 1st Xmas in our new house so we are hosting for my parents & brother, his parents & brother, his cousin, and future SIL. Planning on having A LOT of food - turkey, ham, scallops, shrimp ring, chips & dip, deviled eggs, vodka penne, mashed potatoes, rolls, veggies...good thing the in-laws live a backyard away
I dont have THAT much kitchen space! This is also Neko and Hoshi's first Xmas with us

MERRY CHRISTMAS! As soon as my sister calls to say she's up, I'll pop the egg casserole in the oven and then heat up the coffee cake and then we'll open our presents. My brother flies in tonight.

We're heading to the neighbors in about half an hour for breakfast, then will continue cooking all the food for dinner. DH and the neighbor are going to BBQ today, in a blizzard, which will be entertaining to watch. Dinner is at our house and we'll have a fraction of the people that we planned because of the weather. Can you imagine the leftovers from a 20 pound ham and 3 slabs of ribs when only 5 people are there to eat them?

We have a lot of snow shoveling to do today. Otherwise going to stay toasty warm by the fire and drink lots of hot chocolate.

Merry Christmas everyone!!

The cats had us up at 8:00 this morning for breakfast...I guess their present to us was to allow us to sleep in late today. They have full bellies and are tucked in the bed with the electric blanket on High, so their toasty warm.

STILL waiting for the weather update. Our son will call later this morning to discuss spending the day with us. The Weather Channel shows a lot of pink on the map, so I doubt they'll make it.

We enjoyed a lovely evening with my sister and her family last night. She made BBQ and some mac-and-cheese with some holiday cookies. I brought some dip and crunchies and the frosted pumpkin bars. We had such a good time with them and their four kitties.

It's all about family and friends and I am so blessed to have a good family and wonderful friends.

Good morning and Merry Christmas!

DH and I just finished up our small family Christmas and are playing with our stuff and having breakfast. The kitties our occupied with the contents of their Christmas 6-pack from Auntie Em.

We saw a bunch of my family for yesterday's Christmas eve celebration and we're off to another one this afternoon. This morning we're just lounging around with our gifts and our cats.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day filled with laughter and love.

Merry Christmas!

We got a small package from my sister with cat toys, so they're having fun with the wrapping paper.

Just a quiet day at home for us.

Amy - that's going to be a lot of leftoevers!

Everyone affected by the blizzard/bad weather, please be safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Catsmas, everyone!!

I got up this morning and gave the cats the last (for now) can of TJ's Tuna for Cats.... then fixed scrambled eggs and a muffin for myself. After I finish up wrapping stuff for friends, I'll be heading down to my friends house for dinner with them... I got one gift for the cats... a large ball in circle track toy... they have a small one... but I've been wanting the big one for them for a while now...

It's 35 out right now, and clear...

And now I must go make coffee before I fall back asleep...

Afternoon,

My friend Susan and I exchanged gifts this morning. She got me some Christmas Peeps and a really nice photo collage. The collage has pictures of my cats surrounded by other cute cat pics and it's mounted in a really big old picture frame.

I spent last evening at my Aunt's house with my cousins and their eight(!) kids. That pretty much wore me out. My parents were worn out, too. We didn't open presents or go to church like we normally do on Christmas eve. Instead, I'm going to go over there this afternoon and we'll have our Christmas dinner on Christmas day. My dad said we might have Christmas steaks since we had ham last night. Not very traditional, but I approve.

Well, my turkey is out of the oven and "resting" while I prepare everything else. Right now the rest of the stuffing and the candied yams are in the oven. I just need to pop the peas in the micro, heat up the gravy, mix up the mashed potatoes (didn't have time to make them from scratch like I normally do) and heat up the rolls and then I will be done and ready to eat.

I sure with DH's friend would get here. He was supposed to be here at 2:00 and it is now 2:50. Well, that is a guy for ya!
