My question is an easy one:

Are you having a white or green Christmas? Do you have a preference or does it really matter to you?

Hmm, well its white in some parts. The rest is sort of dirty slushy grey
Not sure if it will still be around by the end of the week.

It's green right now, but we are supposed to get some snow on Christmas day. Go figure, we're smoking a ham and ribs on Christmas day and we'll be doing it in the snow.

Well, since I'm in the desert, I'm having a browinish, yellowish, slightly damp Christmas

We're having a white Christmas, which makes it so much more Christmassy for me!

It is looking like a fairly green Christmas here, which always makes me sad

We have a very very thin layer of snow on the ground, you can still see grass in parts..... and there's a call for wet snow/rain with a high of +3C on Christmas....

So its going to be a green Christmas which does not help the trouble I've had getting in the mood.

I like a white Christmas, and this year will definatly be white.
A little too much as it looks like another big storm is headed toward the midwest on Christmas Eve. My brother is coming up from Chicago on Christmas Eve, he is picking me up then we are heading about 2 and a half hours north of here to my folks house to spend a few days there. Its not looking good for travel that day, not good at all.

White for us, no question. I think a white Christmas looks beautiful, an my kids love it, but it is a pain driving in it. Fortunately, we'll be spending the holidays around town, so the travelling will be kept to a minimum.

Be careful out there!

White.....really white (with slushy grey mixed in). We have about six inches of snow on the ground.

And we're not happy. Our kids and grandkids were supposed to be with us on Christmas, but driving in freezing rain isn't on anybody's must-do list. We'll probably have our Christmas with them maybe next weekend. It all depends on the darn weather.

We were planning on a nice stuffed crown roast of pork. Since the kids probably won't make in here, last night my husband bought a small standing rib roast so that he and I will still enjoy a nice holiday dinner. When the kids do make it in, then we'll do the pork crown.

But I'd rather have my kids......

Definitely green here. We've only had 1 white Christmas in the past 30 years and this one will follow the trend. They're actually forecasting unseasonably warm temps for us here this week.

Dormant grass and bare trees here. There's a 30% chance of something Wednesday - possibly snow, but I doubt it. It's too early.

Technically there's plenty of green here all winter. Lots of winter wheat means bright green fields in January.

That 0% is precipitation chance. I better not have a white Christmas!!!

That said, it does feel kinda wrong to be out on Christmas day with no coat on walking on the beach path...

For me, yes there is such a thing as too white. I am of the belief that snow belongs in the alps
