He said

The L word
After having met my parents.
We spent the evening drinking with them.
He loved my folks, thought my mom was a riot (she really is).

He said the L word to me.
My beautiful Cuban that is.

I reminded him of the boundaries we have set for this relationship, and told him to never tell me that unless he truly meant it.


As it stands, I do love him, but only as much as I love any of my friends, he may be slightly more important to me right now though.

Its a good thing, for now.
He was more drunk than either of us realized last night.
I woke him up, brought him coffee and we talked.
He did not remember saying it, but he did say again that he loves me, not an in love sort of feeling, but very close, much more than the love between friends.

Boundaries were discussed again and agreed upon.

We will revisit our feelings in a few months when he starts getting his life back together.

For now all is fantastic and where it should be.

Reading all your stories about this guy, I just have to add my and say this:

Just have fun!!! Enjoy it!

I'm having far more fun than I should at this point.....we both love our beer a bit too much

I'm going to have to scan his Playgirl pic, he's gorgeous now at 48, but at 23 (when he was still a Rod Stewart imitator) he was to die for.

I went to his place for their Christmas celebration, so much love and cheer in one house

I went after the family had had their dinner.
I enjoyed watching everyone open their gifts , I already knew his mother and father, brother, nephews and neice so was very comfortable and felt very welcome.
And I met his 92 year old grandmother, who does not speak English, but did not need to.
I so enjoy watching families that are so close.
It really brought home the spirit of the season.

I was in charge of a 16 year old friend last night so that her dad could relax, she and I attended a tea party thrown by the 5 year old neice of my beautiful guy.
It was beyond cute.
And the 16 year old said she approves of Angelo
