ok first of all here is the background on the cat
female bengal born in late august. bought from spotacularbengals in nj. has all its shots and was wormed. i feed her felidea

problems
poopin all over. the cat is poopin in different spots of the house. i bought the breeze litter box system and the cat does use the box sometimes but not all the time. it poops in the oposite corner of the room, it poops in the corner of my sons room and it poops in the bath tub. due to the fact the breeze doesnt cover any poop smell at all i even added regular little to the box.

also i never saw a cat that poops as much as this kitten.

also i need to somehow get this cat to not be scared of my boxer. my dog wont hurt it but this cat a scared of it.

bathin- this cat also doesnt bath itself very well. hopefully that comes with age

Some cats don't like the Breeze system. Try offering another (regular) litterbox with unscented scooping litter and see if that helps. Maybe she prefers to pee in the Beeeze but to poop in regular litter.

She's a little young for it, but she might be in heat if she's not spayed yet. A cat in heat will mark all over, with both pee and poop, to attract the males. I'd recommend having her spayed ASAP (unless the breeder has her reserved for breeding).

If she's pooping excessively, the food may not agree with her. Felidae is a good brand but of course not all foods agree with all cats. Another brand with a different protein source might be worth a try.

How old was she when you got her? Kittens learn to bathe themselves from their mothers, but if they're taken too young they might not get the full lesson. You can wipe her with a damp cloth when she's dirty, this will hopefully get her to lick herself so she can learn proper hygiene.

Hi - I know it's frustrating when they can't tell you what's wrong. First, though, have you had the kitten into your own vet for a check-up? Then, if it were me, besides giving the vet a list of everything I'd noticed, including what kind and how much food, I'd check back with the breeder and find out what sort of food and litter the cat was used to - and use that for a while. If you can't find out, I'd try Cat Attract (or Kitten Attract) litter. It could be the food is a bit too rich for your particular kitty. Is the poo well formed? Or soft?

Also, are you using an enzyme cleaner when you're cleaning up the areas she's pooped in? Otherwise, she's smelling the areas and thinking it's ok to go there.

Re introducing cats and dogs, I think there are some good posts you can search for - but if she's nervous about your dog, that could be another reason her tummy is upset. Are things set up in your house where there's places she can run/jump to to get away from the dog if she wants to?

i jus sent an email to the breeder 2day to check what she was using and if she has any insite. the poop was runnin but after switchin totally to felidea it seems to be firmin up. except for 2day. as for the dog ive been crating the dog alot more til she gets use to him. she has plenty of spots to hide. the dog doesnt go in bedrooms so she has whole rooms to hide in. the spots she goes in we are resolve pet cleaner. i gonna try and get her to the vet tomorrow. we had a real bad snow storm this w/e so i havent done much the last few days.

I am sorry that you are having trouble getting your kitten to use the litter box.

If the vet checkup comes back normal and all other attempts fail you should probably think about confining her to a large crate or the bathroom with her litterbox so she "trains" herself.

She wont want to poo or pee where she is eating/sleeping and she will use the litterbox to coverup the scent.

Some people don't agree with this method so it may not be for you, but it has had good results with other users and people I've read about online.

Good luck with your new baby! Definately keep in touch with the breeder to make sure she/he is okay with all the steps you are taking to get your kitten in order.

It does sound like your new kitty is extremely intimidated, stressed, and threatened. Is this your first kitty/Bengal? You mentioned her being terrified of your Boxer, how does your Boxer respond to her?
How does she interact with you and others in your family? Do you have daily interaction with her?

That is what sounds to me too....
Boxers are high energy dogs, and kittens are kittens.... Sounds to me that this kitten needs to go back to a square one for a proper introduction... I have a feeling that was not done...
How to introduce cats to dogs

About the litterboxes: as the others mentioned, this can be a sign of stress, marking, and above all that he doesn't like the litter and or the litterbox.

Get a brand new litterbox, and put it in a quiet, safe place. The best places are usually in the back corner of a room, where they can have their privacy, but yet they can see the whole room. This is even more important in your case, when a dog is stressing him out.

Kitten Attract Litter will help you a LOT - you can find it in a lot of places, including Petsmart... Here is a rebate form for a free bag.
A feliway diffuser could also help you quite a bit in minimizing his stress... Here is the link for it (refill here)- it works wonders for new kitties in the household!!
And I second the visit to the vet as soon as possible.

Good luck!!

Sounds like she needs litter training, although I could be wrong. If that is the case here are some thoughts.

There are signs to look for that the cat is getting ready to do his business. They usually will go in circles, dig or paw at the area, look furtive, sniff at the ground, and usually search for a corner or dark place, then they will squat.

First thing, when you do catch your baby in the act, please don't yell at her. It will only frighten and confuse her. Remember, in the kitten's mind she is doing something perfectly normal and won't understand why she's being yelled at. Also she may start to think you are mad because she is relieving himself, not because she is doing it in the wrong spot.

No matter what anybody says *never* rub a cat's or even a dog's nose in it. It's a very cruel thing to do and very counterproductive. Again she won't understand why she's being punished and she will start to think doing his business is a "bad" thing and she will start looking for places to hide so she can "go" without you being around. (I'm sure you yourself have never done this, I'm just trying to explain why it's not a good idea, because some people just don't understand what they are doing when they give out this kind of advice).

When you do catch her getting ready or even in the act, just quickly pick her up and bring her to the litter box. If she then pees or poops praise her and even maybe offer her a treat. If she was already peeing when this happens, just bring her to the litter box anyways. In time she will start to understand that this is where she needs to go.

Another trick is that if you find some of her poop, don't throw it away. Instead put it in the litter box. The scent of her poop there, will tell her that this is where she is supposed to be doing her business. Also using Cat Attract, as has been suggested is a great idea!

Line the areas where she has already done her business with aluminum foil. Most cats don't like walking on it and it should help to deter him. Use a good enzyme cleaner to get rid of the smell. I like Nature's Miracle, but some people don't. I'm sure someone here can give you additional recommendations. The important thing is that when you're trying to clean urine stains is to pour the enzyme cleaner generously so that it goes all the way down into the padding of the carpet. If it just goes on the surface it won't completely eliminate the smell.

What type of litter box are you using? Something appropriately sized for a kitten is important, so that she could get in and out of easily. It should also be in an area of the house where she will feel safe.

Hope this helps!

When my Bengal was a baby she had tummy problems that had to addressed by the vet. You really need to take your kitten to the vet because consistant diarhea(sp) is not normal. Zoey made a few errors when I brought her home and she caught on to the litter box after showing her where it was a couple times. I put a litter box in our bedroom for her when she was a baby so she didn't have to deal with the adult cats until she felt comfortable with them. Now she is queen bee and I'm sure your kitten will be the same in time.

That is my take on this, as well If the dog's scent is in the main part of the rooms, the kitty will definitely go in the corners. Perhaps she would do better confined in a smaller area, such as a bathroom.
Also, be sure to keep the dog in check - no sniffing at the door where the kitten is, etc. , otherwise the stress & fear will continue!! And maybe check into Cesar Milan or other dog training, to ensure that your dog is showing proper submission to the kitty - the kitty is not a new toy or playmate for the dog (at least, not until, and if kitty, decides to be, later on down the line).
Try to reassure the kitten as much as possible that she is safe and secure. Sending prayers and vibes for harmony in a peaceful household, esp,. during the stressful holiday season

You've already gotten great advice... I'd just reiterate the vet visit, the addition of more litter boxes, confining her to one room for a few weeks and reintroducing the cat and the dog, using Kitten or Cat Attract litter, and adding vertical space! Bengals are VERY energetic cats, and she's going to need to go vertical!
