Vibes for Jordan

Well, Jordan has gone almost a whole year without seeing a vet. He either decided that 1) he wants to go to Michigan with me for Christmas, 2) he really doesn't want a baby Brother or 3) he needed to spend some of my money on a vet trip.

He stopped eating yesterday & has terrible diariah, so off to the vet we go tonight. The kicker is that I am switching vets. The new vet is one I have been working with for the shelter & they are more affordable than the old vet. The stool last night looked to have a little blood in it that is why I am worried. Send vibes that he's just got an upset tummy & not that he ate something stuipd.

Their timing is impeccable sometimes, isn't it.

Sending lots of good for Jordan that it's just an upset tummy.

Hey, at least he didn't wait for 6:00 pm Christmas eve - but best wishes for a easy to treat diagnosis.

I am actually suprised he didn't. We will be leaving around 6PM so that would have been the exact right timming.

Thanks everyone. He is my little trouble maker, in many ways. He has been to the vet more in the last 2 years than the other 3 have ever been combined.

So Jordan is on Metronidazole. He had blood work & x-rays. i ill get the blood test results tomorrow. The x-rays showed a large area of gas, but nothing that would suggest a forgin body. The x-ray did show a thickening of his stomach. Mostly it points to IBD, but also possibly Lymphoma. I am hoping the metronidazole will help, his tummy. He did take it just fine in a pill pocket, but then he shortly had nasty stuff in his box.

Sending major prayers and vibes for Jordan & his worried mom

Keeping up the good that everything clears up quickly and Jordan's feeling better soon.

I hope Jordan has just IBD, not Lymphoma. But if it is Lymphoma, it is very treatable as long as you have it diagnosed sooner than later. Our Mikey had the same symptoms and after a year of wait and see, small improvements, followed by downswings, we couldn't save him.
Lots of for Jordan!

Thank you all. I didn't sleep well last night, as i have been down this dark & difficult road before. It has been a long time, but I would not be at all supprised if the vet calls today & tells me his blood calcium is elevated. I watched him try to eat last night & he has a way of chewing that reminds me of when his blood calcium spiked.

Talked to the vet. All of his blood work is normal. So now we just wait for the meds to kick ing and figure out what to feed him to keep this under control. He did just eat a jar of Chicken Baby Food. It's not ideal, but at least it's something.
