Only 4 days until Chrisssssssssssssstmasssssssssssss!!

I am so excited for Christmas this year. First one with my new hubby
I may have spoiled him

We have lots of plans all weekend, so it should be good. I just need to get stocking stuffers.

Off to work...it is bittersweet at work. The last week of the year is always nice because it doesn't seem as crazy in the office..but we also have to complete our performance reviews
Ugh. I am going to try and finish today to get it over with.

You all have a good one!

Morning all

I can't believe Christmas is almost here!
Not feeling in the spirit much today, Kinky has a puffy ear so I'm planning a vet trip tomorrow for him (sigh) and I have a chemistry final tonight, eek!

Leaving for work in about 15 minutes, developing xrays alone today so between that, Kinky, and the final I'm all stressed out!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning,

I'm sitting at my desk getting ready for work. Well, getting ready to get ready anyway. I've gotten bad at dragging my feet. Tre is sitting on my lap and Promise is sitting on the desk staring at me. She can be really strange sometimes.

It should be a pretty quiet week - lots of people will be on vacation until after New Year's Day. I'm going to catch up on some training that's coming due soon. After that, I have to try to regroup on my dissertation. I spent all day Saturday in the lab taking measurements and they don't seem to match my simulations. I may have to re-run a lot of them with different settings, which will take another week or two. That stinks because I thought after this weekend I could start putting results in my dissertation and start wrapping it up.
The good news is that with the holidays, there shouldn't be a big problem getting processor time on the servers, so hopefully it won't set me back too far.

If I can find the motivation, I'll go by the gym after work. It's been hard keeping on any kind of a schedule for the last month. That makes it even worse because when I do go by the gym it tends to wear me out more than normal, making me want to go even less, etc.
After the gym, I'll spend a quiet night at home with the kitties.

There's no place like home
With only a few days of work left at my job and the office cleared out for the holidays, I won't be given any more assignments. So I start the deep cleaning of the house today in anticipation of all the company that is coming over on Christmas. Today I'll wash all the curtains and attempt to get the dog nose prints off all the windows. I'm also going to make a ribbon garland for our fireplace.

I'm not into Christmas too much this year. DH and I are going very light with gifts to each other due to the fact that I'll be out of a job at the end of the year. Christmas will be more of a food day for us this year. Anything we spend on each other will be for our 20th wedding anniversary next week.

G'morning.

It is so hard to believe how fast Christmas has snuck up on us. I really need to quit procrastinating and check to make sure I have all I need.

I have a friend visiting later in the week, so we can go over her experience with the gastric bypass surgery as I'm considerring the lapband.

I've also decided to make it a point to do at least 10mins of Wii active gaming per day. I know it doesn't sound like a lot, but with me being sick on and off for the past couple months, I haven't had much physical activity. Its more about starting a habit.

It's looking like a green Christmas here, which makes me sad....I love a white Christmas and so far, I'm still not "into" Christmas this year.

All in all, not much planned for today LOL.

Have a good day folks.

Wow chris, I'll send down some snow for ya 'cos it's definitely a white Christmas here in KW!

My last week of work! I shall miss my favourite dogs and clients. It's hard not to get attached, especially after 4 years. Oh well, it's time for a change and the new year will bring some challenges and hopefully new opportunities.

Not bad weather wise for the start of the week. Have a good day everyone!

Morning. In a few minutes I'm gonna make like Santa Claus and give our neighbors their Christmas Bourbon Fudge. Then I guess I better change from my Fall pocketbook to my Winter one. Oh, the excitement in my life is killing me!LOL.

Morning.

This is the THIRD TIME now I'm trying to post a daily post!

First time i hit backspace and the whole internet went back a page and i lost my long rambling (probaby boring anyway) post.

Second time my computer just froze up.

So. I'm trying again.

Good morning.. Basically I will be on my own at work from this afternoon til next Monday afternoon, the bosses are away or will be going away. I have some wrapping to finish up after work today before BF gets home. I might buy some xmas dinner things today too, hopefully the grocery store rush hasn't started yet.

Also I have to send out an email to a few friends letting then know where and when we'll be starting my birthday celebrations on Saturday!

Well have a good day everyone!

Good morning everyone.....

Finished addressing Christmas cards last night and mailed them off on my way to work this morning. I have one last gift box to mail out and that will go tomorrow morning.

We're planning on a wee bit of shopping tonight to finish off our grandkids...then we're done. (Except for the wrapping, that is.)

Enjoy your Monday

Good afternoon all!

I am only working today and tomorrow, so I am trying to squeeze 5 days of work into 2, so it isn't working very well. The fact that I have the attention span of a hamster probably doesn't help, either.

My wife has the neighborhood cookie exchange at our house tonight, so my son and I will be holed up in the basement watching movies and wrapping presents. Fun fun!

Happy days all around.

I love christmas but its just crept up on me too fast this year, december has been a bad month and too much going on. Now everything seems to have settled I am really excited, I just know we will be rushing around like mad heads on Christmas Eve though, we've still got food shopping to do for christmas and boxing day. We are having a quiet christmas day and then boxing day have family coming over. The kids are so excited
And its my birthday tomorrow but I am not really doing anything as we are so low on cash, we have spent it all on christmas
