There are two cats that constantly visit my (dog free) backyard - the neighbor's large ragdoll-like seal point males. They're both neutered, though unfortunately front declawed.
I just went out to find Gizmo (the larger of the pair) in the part of my yard that's cat-fenced off. Thankfully MewMew and Boo weren't attacking, they do not take well to other cats (surprising that they even like each other). I guess Gizmo jumped over in hopes of a stolen meal.

Hopefully he learns to stay out since I can only do stuff to the parts of my fence that won't make the neighbor who owns the house directly next to us (and shares the fence) complain - he's overly concerned about appearances and trying to sell the house.

Though now I wonder when Blue will show up back there.

Cute! Glad the dogs were ok with it!

A bit off topic, but my brother spent a fortunate on cedar to build a new fence between his yard and the neighbours. The neighbour had a fit because the fence would no longer match the other fences so she wanted my brother to pay her for the cost of the paint that she would need in order to paint her side of his fence!

Well, my brother would have nothing to do with that. He absolutely refused to allow her to paint his fence, even though one side was facing her yard. They ended up arguing about the issue and she said since it was going to be on the property line she was going to paint her side anyway.

The fix? My brother went and got a survey of his land done and built the fence 6 inches into his property. So if she decided to paint the fence on her side, she would have technically been tress passing because she had to reach over onto his property to paint it!!
7 years later that fence is still the natural cedar.

Oh, no - no dogs. I'm not a dog person.
Boo and MewMew (as that name suggests
) are my outdoor kitties. One hates other cats and sprays, and the other sprays.
I absolutely refuse to have any of my pets running loose so they're fenced in. But Gizmo isn's fenced out well enough. He doesn't let his lack of front claws stop him from climbing!

Those neighbor cats know me well, too. Which doesn't help. In better weather they'll sit in my open windows and meow at us. Nothing is weirder than waking up one morning, rolling over and looking at the window on your side of the bed and directly into a face that does not belong to one of your cats.

I wouldn't want a expensive cedar fence painted, either. It's a beautiful wood, it would have been a shame to paint it.
None of my neighbors would do that. They'd just be thankful someone else paid for and put in the fence.
We're going to have to do something about the fence on the other side of our yard sometime. Those neighbors are older and don't really take care of things outside. I don't want their (cute) shelties in my yard.
