I was going to a friend's house for game night and someone hit me!! I was approaching a light and got into the right hand lane and the guy I was following was in the left hand lane when all of a sudden I felt this impact and heard this horrible crushing sound!

This jerk didn't check his blind spot and hit me because he decided at the last minute to change lanes. He wife was in the passenger seat and my car has damage starting at the mirror so I know that she could see me if she looked.

I was very short with them when they approached. Not only did they hit me, but they did not even apologize for hitting me. I can't even get into my car on the driver side because I can't open the door!

Now I'm starting to feel a little sore. I am so angry. I was so close to paying it off and every time I get a new car someone hits me. I am so angry right now.

I put in a claim already and made sure to tell them that he told the police officer that he decided to change lanes at the last minute.

My poor car.....I hate stupid people!

I will if I still have it by monday.

I could hear a kid crying since they had the windows down. I didn't even feel bad for them. You would think they would be better drivers with kids in the car.

What really makes me mad is that I'm always the one that gets the worst damage while they get away with murder and have hardly anything wrong.

I am so sorry
I know how you feel. Don't worry about your car, I am sure that since you haven't fully paid if off yet, you are required to have full coverage so either way your car will be fixed and the insurance will pay for it. Try to think of the positives, your injury wasn't as bad as it could have been. You should get checked out just in case though.

You should go to the hospital and get checked out just in case. Believe it or not, injury to the spleen is common in car wrecks. A ruptured spleen, without emergency care, is fatal.

As for why neither of them seen you, they were probably talking to each other. The amount of distraction a person in a car can cause is comparable to chatting on a cell phone and driving.
I know my DH will get distracted talking to me, even to the extent he'll forget where we were going.

In this town the thing to watch out for is people not stopping at stop signs. Last week I was nearly hit twice by people who did not have the right of way.

I hope insurance covers it.

That's probably true that they were distracted. Bad driving on their part.

I'm know his insurance will cover it. I did nothing wrong.

Do not wait, go to ER.
I made the mistake of not going after being hit in 94, I now have irrepairable damage to my spine.
I'm 41 and move like I'm in my 70s

Sabrina, I'm so sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you're going to be OK. Everyone's right - you really ought to go get checked out. Even if you feel better in a few days, you need to get it on record. Often problems with the neck or back won't become apparent for sometimes years - and in order for the insurance to cover it, you need to keep the case open. Any knowledgeable doctor will tell you to get it checked out every two years for up to 10 years before you can say there was no damage from the accident.

Get yourself checked out. Your car is just a car...it will get fixed. You on the other hand need to make sure you are okay

We were in an accident a while back that involved another car too (a girl came across the median and hit us and another car), we have stayed in touch with the other woman involved in the accident as we all went to hospital together and she was heavily pregnant so were worried about her, her husband was in the army and away.

She got back pain a few days later but put it down to pregnancy pains and didnt go back to the hospital but now the insurance company are fighting her claim because she did not have it seen right away so please do go to the doctor and get your back checked!

My neck was hurting and still is. I told my insurance company and they are going to start paperwork for an injury/injuries. I will go Monday if it doesn't improve.
