He's gone...that darling little rumpy-tailed boy. He had a neurological incident that left him incontinent in both ways, having rectal bleeding & pain....Please someone, light a candle for him...I buried him on a hillside, where the willows and wildroses grow. It was so hard to walk away, buried under the snow. I cut my hair, in the tradition of my ancestors, and lay it upon him as a blanket.
Run swiftly over RB, my beloved!!! I know you didn't want to go - life has been hard on me lately. Your intuitiveness and constant attention & comfort has kept me from going crazy, trying to deal with the affair & the bizarro aftermath...But, please go over, Joey - I'll be okay, and I'd like to think of you cuddling & giving headbutts to those little human angels are over there with you....I guess Heaven needs you more than I do, "Joesters". Until we are reunited again, my love......

By the way, I do send my condolences to the rest of you in mourning...but, oh, how can I bear this pain....my Joey-boy was MY cat, the one who slept at my feet, acted like my little disciplinarian for me, meooowwrrrled around the house whenever his intuition told him my grandson was sick; was velcro-kitty to my husband when he was having his heart problem; it was only due to Joey's behavior that I absolutely made sure that DH went to the hospital, whereupon they airlifted him to Reno, where he was in ICU for 8 days, but without nearly the damage there would have been if gone untreated much longer....
and yet, I need to let Joey go to his reward in peace, even as I feel like falling to pieces...

Sorry to hear of your loss - your baby is happily playing at RB and is fine and no problems any more. Its certainly been a rough year (especially last 2 months) of members losing their babies - some of them far too young to be gone so quick. My prayers are with you and your family for the loss. He looks like a very handsome boy too.

We lost our Charlie boy (Jack's big brother) just a few weeks ago. I still remember how Charlie just took to Jack in a few days and really watched over his baby brother growing up to a big boy.

Jack will one day get to play the "big brother" part too.

So many special loves lost recently

I'm sorry Joey was needed at The Bridge at Christmastime. It really seems very unfair
I cannot imagine how you are feeling at the moment, but please try to focus on the special bond you had with Joey

I am so sorry about Joey. I, like you, put a lock of my hair with my kitties and keep a piece of theirs as well.

Try to think of this...our love for them and theirs for us does not stop. It does not become something else...it is just a matter of location. The love we have bridges the gap between there and here.

God speed to you and prayers for your little
cat, Joey.

Bless you all for your kind words of comfort. They are helping much more than you'll ever know.

Thank you all for the prayers, thoughts and hugs. I'm at my desk and my slideshow on my computer is loaded with pix of Joey, and now that the assistant left for lunch, I'm all alone and trying not to cry in case someone walks in or the phone rings.
I want Joey to be able to look down and see I'm doing well, and be able to scamper off to play with our other TCS kitties. I'm sure that our dear HopeHacker has some wonderful activities planned
