So we are going out of town tomorrow right? Well the person who was going to watch our pets called and canceled on me today! So here I sit already stressed out with 10000 things to do and now I have to find someone on short notice to watch the pets! I called around to all the kennels and they are all booked. The petter sitters who I have gotten a hold of are unable to to because they are book, or I have not gotten a response. I have no idea what I am going to do! Any ideas or suggestions would be great! Thanks guys.

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
Is there a neighbor or friend you can ask? If i had a car and was close enough, I'd offer, but no car...

If you trust any of your neighbors, why not ask? Or a friend who likes cats. My friends stepped in when I landed in the hospital last year.

Hope that helps a bit...

Good luck.

We just moved into this house about 4 days ago, my one friend in the area is also going to be out of town. I am so stressed out I could cry. I have been calling people for the last 2hours and no luck. I need a good book and a hot bath!
I think this trip is going to be the death of me.

You don't have a lot of time left today - But maybe you could check with vets? They may have assistants that only do part time or could use the extra money that would be willing to sit for you. Or maybe knows someone who does grooming and some sitting on the side.

Also, if the sitter you were going to use has anywhere you can leave a review you might want to make it known they did a last minute cancellation on you. I don't know about anyone else's views, but that's terribly rude. If you do that at other places where you had an appointment you'd be charged for it!

Have you thought of just cancelling your trip. How long were you going to be gone, if only a couple of days you can just leave enough food and water and the kits will be fine. If not the worst sceanerio would be to stay home.

Found someone! Thank goodness!! Found a family run business who are willing to help us out and are actually going to reduce their rate because we will be gone for a week. I am going to meet the person tonight and introduce them to the pets. I feel like a HUGE weight has just been lifted off of me.

I'm glad you found someone. Make sure they have all of the info they need.

I don't think my area even has a pet sitter. I'm stuck at home for anything other than a day away.
