This is the best day ever! My birthday, and Friday, and Payday, and jean day and So you think you can dance tour day and fajita lunch day!

I can't handle any more excitment!

Oh...P.S. It is bitterly cold here and our car is having problems...so those two things are not on my list of excitement.

Morning,

It's about 35 and raining here this morning. I just got in at work and I'm getting ready to go to my training class at 7:30. The class yesterday was really interesting, so I'm looking forward to part 2. After that, I have to decide whether I want to hang around and try to do some work, or just go home and do work from there. Obviously, option 2 is more attractive, but there are some things I can't do from home, so it may be better to do them today rather than putting them off until next week. Not much planned tonight - I'll be having a quiet night at home with the kitties. We may get a few flurries overnight, but we're not really supposed to get cold enough to get any serious snow.

I actually have to go into the office today to go thru the retirement papers with my boss and to attend a pot luck luncheon in my (and 2 other retiree's) honor.

Then I have an Auntie Em delivery to make and a little bit of shopping to finish. I'm going to pick up a new stereo receiver to replace my 1978 Kenwood amplifier that finally bit the dust. With all the music that I play, it's been horrible to live without a stereo for the last few weeks.

And maybe I'll make some effort to make it look like that I've actually worked for a little bit today. Or not.

It's bitterly cold here too.

Because of my long nap yesterday, I woke up really early this morning.

I'm going to finish wrapping up presents and see if I can actually get them mailed in time to arrive for Christmas.

Happy Birthday!

Another cold one here. This is actually the earliest I've ben up since my vacation started but I promised a friend a drive to the airport this morning so we're off to join the morning commute in a bit.

We put the Christmas tree up yesterday (and kept with our tradition of walking all the way to the back field at the tree farm to find one we liked

) so now the house smells like tree.

Off to the airport now. Hope everyone has a good one!

I'm heading out in a couple of hours to the warehouse and leaving about 11 for New Orleans. Deliver down there tonight (it's over 9 hours down there), get a little ways back (11 hours total legal driving time), then sleep. Head back tomorrow morning, get to the warehouse, deliver a load to our store in Frisco, and get home about 10 p.m.

Just a few more days until we can slack off!

Not much planned this weekend. Mark is going to his work xmas party tomorrow, I'll be staying here.

For those traveling, have a safe trip.

We are supposed to see DH's father for a Christmas party Saturday but they are calling for snow between us and them and dangerous driving conditions. It's supposed to start tonight

At least we will see them next weekend for Christmas.

Morning All!!!

Nice and bright here this morning even if it is one the chilly side.

Have several errands to run this afternoon, pick up some odds and ends that I still need, and do some grocery shopping. I need to do a couple of platters for a memorial service I have to attend tomorrow for my Uncles funeral. I am thinking one will be cheese, pickles, olives, and crackers. And the other will be processed meats and crusty bread.

When I get home I have a few chore to take care of laundry and the bathroom needs a good cleaning. Also the little boxes need to be changed and washed out really well.

The kitties are good today. All of them have found a sun spot and are now snoring the morning away.

It's my mom's birthday today too!

My birthday is in 8 days!

I am sleepy from last night's activities. Duffy boat ride with lots of food and beers with the Hopheads. It was ok, I wasn't as nervous as usual actually and it wasn't too cold which was nice. I made cookies for each boat and they seemed to go over pretty well so that made me happy.

Today should be a quiet kind of day, not much going on at work, and I'm taking an extended lunch to meet BF and some of his coworkers who are skipping their company christmas lunch thing. My boss is in Vegas for a deposition today, and the other boss will probably be getting ready to go home to Utah til after xmas. Maybe I'll even get to leave work early. Maybe... Other than that no real plans as of yet.

In weather news, it's supposed to go up to 74 today!!

Evening everyone!

Today I woke up and ran a few errands. After that I went to my last day of class before Christmas break. I got an A on my exam today! (YA!!! Breathing a huge sigh of relief!) Right after our exam we had another lecture then I thought our professor would call it a day....NOT! He gave us another huge exam...I think I did well on it but I won't know until I go back in January.

Tonight is one of my friend's birthday thing, so I'm planning to go hang out with a few friends on Beale Street for the evening.
