Early this morning Bean Bean vomited up some clear liquid.

I haven't found any more evidence of sick but he does seem rather talkative today and not really interested in his food. Usually when we fill up his bowl he comes running but today he hopped off the chair, walked a few steps and then went back to his chair.

He's been up on the couch to visit me and he never meows when I pet him but he was quite vocal to me. This got me worried and I started googling things.

I keep seeing things about renal failure and feline distemper... but he's got all his vaccinations!! Not to mention he's a very young cat still, I can't see him having kidney failure at such a young age...

I'm worried now... I'm thinking about sending at least an email to my vet about it, but she's a busy lady and I hate to bug her if I'm just over-reacting. Do you guys think I should just keep an eye on him for the next couple of days, or is this something I should be very concerned about?

I'm not sure if this is common, but I've seen my cats throw up small amounts of clear liquid AND be put off their food while they're trying to work up a hairball. Usually, within a day or two the hairball appears (usually under my socked foot), the vomiting stops, and the appetite is back in full force. Hopefully that's all it is!

well he's never thrown up a hairball, in fact this is only the second time ever I've seen him throw up and the first time it was all food.

I am not ruling that out though because he is a med-hair kitty.

It could be a hairball, or he could have ate something else that could be bothering his stomach. I had one of my kittens vomit up a little of MY hair earlier.

Look for missed vomit spots in case he ate anything, and keep an eye out for him vomiting again. If he does it just once it's really not a big issue and could just be left to a email or phone call.
