Good to see there are more male members here on the site, I don't understand why there aren't more men on the site.

You're glad there's more but you wonder why there aren't more?
Sorry, what I mean is that I am glad there are more male members here than there were when I was last on but that I don't understand why there aren't even more on the site. Sorry if it still does not make sense, it's six in the morning here!

men don't like to admit they like cats - they think it might have something to do with "macho" thing about kitty cats.

cats are so cool, my baby is the smartest cat (of course) that i have ever seen.

she "talks" to me all the time and loves her daddy!!!!

the only time she ever gets mad at me is when it is time to take her to the vet - oh man - that is a treat!!!!!!!

she cries all the way there and all the way back.

once we get back home, she forgives me pretty quickly.

meets met at the door each day and sleeps with us at night.

gets up with me in the morning and "helps" me make the coffee.

she is a cool critter!!!!

Yeah, I've been called a wuss and other worse things by men who think they are "macho".  Then they see me at the range, outshooting them by a big margin.  Or I show them my Navy insignia (TM3) and tell them that I got it while still 17 during the Vietnam War.

i never thought that i would say this but really i like cats better than dogs.  they are clean, they are smarter for the most part and they are just plain cool.

i am Vietnam age, even though i did not go but allot of my friends did.  also, now i work for the national gurard

i love my little fur ball.

Good for you on both counts.  It just goes to show that real men can love cats.   I was on a Fast-Attack sub, so I never saw combat.  Just hunter patrols.

My husband never thought he would like cats since he had always been around dogs, but a couple of hours with our new kitties and I think he actually likes them more than I do (if that's possible).  I think it is awesome how quickly they bonded!

My vet says that it's always the "tough guys" that fall the hardest.

I was a Boomer Puke, so the only action I saw was in the "Gut".

Imagine a place where the temp rarely gets above mid 80s or below low 60s.  The record high is 95 and the record low is 52.  You don't need air conditioning or heating in your house if you build in the traditional way. It has been 40 years since I was there, but I still remember it well and fondly.   Of course, the places we used to go are now gone or filled with thousands of tourists.

After the last few posts it appears men cat lovers may also be busy on other sites reminiscing about their tour of duty. :soldier:

Hello

One more male cat lover here.  Also, one more USN Veteran as well LOL!  I was a Plane Captain for F-14A Tomcats (how fitting LOL) in VF-302 Fighting Stallions at NAS Miramar, San Diego, Ca.  I'm glad to see more of us blokes who love cats.  My Dad is a WWII USN Veteran and he has a grey and white large male cat that he loves.

Thanks

Mark
