I just heard on the news that Katherine Hepburn has died. It seems a lot of great old actors are dying lately. It's like the end of an era.

What was everyone's favorite Hepburn movie? Mine is On Golden Pond

Oh, that is so sad. I loved her in everything I saw, but especially the early comedies. There was one called Bringing up Baby, I can't remember her costar, it might have been Cary Grant, but it was brilliant. And I loved The Philadelphia Story. And Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.

Oh I just now heard. Katherine Hepburn was a legend on the screen. They don't make legends anymore- how sad.

Movin' on up!
The African Queen is my #3 favorite movie, of all time.

Katherine Hepburn got to act with all of the greats: Cary Grant, John Wayne, Humphrey Bogart and (of course) Spencer Tracy. Her portrayal of Jo, in the 1939 version of Little Women was great and she was more than a match for John Wayne's Rooster Cogburn.

I didnt know this! Not too long ago, her niece was on Larry King talking about her. She indeed was one of the great ones. I know she will be sadly missed.

I loved 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner'

I have yet to see 'On Golden Pond', but I will be sure to.

I saw that Larry King show too. I think it was just in the last 1 1/2 weeks. When I heard she died the first thing I thought was how strange it was she died soon after that show.

She was a formitable woman and lived a very full life. Her films are legendary.

Kiwi ~ Rent On Golden Pond. You'll cry. It was Henry Fonda's last film.

The only Audrey Hepburn movie I saw was Breakfast at Tiffany's. I thought it was really good up until the end when she threw the cat out of the cab in the pouring rain. I cried then.

Audrey Hepburn died around 1993. Katherine Hepburn just died yesterday. Both great actresses! I love My Fair Lady (Audrey Hepburn).

Katherine Hepburn Quotes
Women's Voices: Quotations by Women

Quotation: Sometimes I wonder if men and women really suit each other. Perhaps they should live next door and just visit now and then.

Quotation: Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get — only what you are expecting to give — which is everything. What you will receive in return varies. But it really has no connection with what you give. You give because you love and cannot help giving. Quotation: If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun.

Quotation: Plain women know more about men than beautiful women do.

Quotation: I'm an atheist, and that's it. I believe there's nothing we can know except that we should be kind to each other and do what we can for people. (source)
