Help me win a bet!

We are having a bet at work about what the owners dog is.
This is Charlie. He came from a shelter. He is super smart! He is a smaller dog but things he's big! We cannot figure out what all is in him! We are getting a DNA thing just for the fun of it though!

Good front shot

You can see his size and his back shape.

And here he is biting his brother Shamus

So far I am guessing pug or shiba inu because of the tail. Mixed with maybe corgi or dachshund?
What do you guys think?

Wouldn't be surprised to hear he has some border collie in him, and lab.

His ears are set very similar to Sadie, high on his head and perked up. His snouts a little fatter - I know he's got Black lab in him but that tail! Shiba Inu I'd say - unless the pug or corgi was very athletic!

lol! Or it was a sneak attack and the lab was laying down lol!

With that Napoleon Complex he's got going on there, I'd say Lab/jack russell mix. That tail does say shiba inu though, doesn't it?

we are still trying to talk the boss into getting one. We think we have him talked into it though lol. We have an ongoing argument about it!

my dog Shadow's dad had a really curly tail like that, and he was part samoyed. Shadow doesn't look like he has any in him but I can really tell it in his personality!

Definately part Lab, but I would not pick the short legged dogs - maybe Beagle or Jack RT? I would guess at least 3 different breeds in the background. If you want to spend the money on DNA, it might be fun to find out.
