Well, the girls let me sleep in this morning...and I missed my meeting at work! Awwww....too bad! I was tired, so it felt good to sleep in!

Here's today's Question Of The Day...

What are your kitties favorite treats?

All three of mine love traditional kitty treats, like Pounce, Whiskas and Temptations, but they are high in phosphorus, so I only give Cleo one or two at a time. She loves chicken breast meat, so I cook up chicken breasts especially for her. They're relatively low in phosphorus, so she gets about a quarter of a cup, a couple times a week.

Maggie loves carbohydrates. She'll try to steal cookies, crackers or chips right off your plate if you aren't careful! She once ate the tops off a whole batch of muffins that were cooling on the kitchen table!

Lola won't eat people food at all. It's only kitty treats for her, and she's particular about what kind she'll eat. She only likes the crunchy types.

Mine love Temptations too, and freeze dried fish treats. They like the Greenies treats too.
One that niether of them really liked (which is surprising for Pushkin) were these cheapo brand ones I got one time, cannot remember the name though. I guess they both have more gourmet tastes!

Their favorite is temptations but they have been banned from the house. We started greenies about 2 years ago and their vet thanks us b/c their teeth/gums look much better. It's more expensive but they ate so many temptations that it was costing us more. It's like a drug to them.

The only treats they are interested in are Temptations -- and of those, only the poultry and dairy ones. Pickypickypicky. They will sometimes try something new, but if they go for it at all, they generally lose interest quickly. Not interested in human food, except an occasional dab of butter for Cindy.

Zebra loves everything and the only ones I have found that Milo will eat are Meow Mix ocean explosion.

We have the strangest kitties ever - they hate Temptations!

They liked chicken flavored treats - mostly just crunchy treats. But the boys had so many problems with crystals, we stopped getting treats when they went on the prescription diet. We know buy 3 lb bags of SD hairball and tooth health treats and feed those to them like treats.

We also boil chicken for them from time-to-time, and Billy and Ming Loy love cat milk, so we give them that occassionally.

When Tuxie stopped eating, it was shrimp that got him going again. But now that he's fine, we can't give him shrimp as a treat because he cries for it daily for months! We don't even give it to him on his Gotcha Day anymore.

Nothing seems to drive my cats quite as crazy as shrimp. I have to keep an eye on the plate when I eat shrimp or a paw will reach up and swipe one off. I usually give them each one shrimp after I finish.

As for cat treats, Greenies seem to be the favorite here. Tiny and Thufir will eat just about anything, but everyone loves the Greenies, so that's what I normally get.

Riley will eat nearly anything, but their favorite cat treats are the Halo Liv-A-Little freeze dried chicken treats. I can't find them around here and they are expensive to order online so they haven't had any in a long time.

Sassy's favorite treat has always been cheese, he absolutely loves the stuff.

Linus likes Temptations but only beef.

Pixie will eat almost anything so I don't think she has a favorite.

Genever likes Greenies and Temptations and pretty much any cat treats I've bought. No treats right now though since we're trying a limited ingredient diet.

Otherwise she LOVES ham, she knows the sound of the packet being opened when BF makes a sandwich and comes running. It's sad that she can't have any ham right now, she always used to get a few pieces, but we gotta stick to the duck & pea thing for the time being...

She'll also try to eat anything else when you're not looking, like soup, or chips, or PEANUTS??, or sandwiches, or toast, or pizza... You really can't leave a plate/bowl of food unattended or she will get at it, at least just to taste it.

Jake really likes temptations, the wellness turkey jerkey treats- I forgot their name. Another very odd thing he loves is bananas. Every time I eat a banana he comes up to me meowing and asking for some.
Besides that, he doesn't eat raw nor cooked fish, and he doesn't like any kind fo meat- with the exception of chicken livers. He actually gets scared of raw meat, I am not sure what it is but he has scratched me a few times to get away from a bowl of raw meat waiting to be put in the oven.

The kids eat kitty treats. They have a few favorites: Pounce is the most favored, They all love their Sip milk; they get that after their dinner.

Now when Banshee was alive? She screamed.....screamed, I tell you.....for bananas. And mangoes. And she loved nectarines. Oh, and shredded wheat. She would be back in bed, sound asleep, but as soon as that cabinet door opened and she realized that my husband was pouring shredded wheat into a bowl, she flew off that bed, out the hallway and careened around the corner into the kitchen so fast, that she'd slide on the kitchen floor. She loved her shredded wheat.

Mine like Greenies in chicken or beef flavors. But their favorites are Catty Shack chicken flavor. I don't know what's in them but they LOOOOOVE those. I can only find them at Walmart so I don't know if they are a Walmart brand or what. They only get 2 or 3 at a time.

For actual cat treats, most of mine love Greenies. Scarlett will not touch any treat intended for cats.

Scarlett is the junk food queen. If I open up a bag of anything that rattles, she is in my face and won't leave until I let her sniff what I am eating. Her favorite snack is Pepperidge Farm Goldfish crackers. But she has to work for them - I put the tail of it in my mouth and she has to grab the head with her mouth. I get a little kiss in the process.

Spanky, Koko, Oscar, Pinky, and Eightball also beg for Goldfish crackers. They get 1 or 2 when I actually have a bag of them.

Stumpy's absolute favorite treat is deli ham. When we were struggling to keep him alive during one of his flair ups, we fed it to him daily and the little piggie would snarf down 3 full slices if you let him.

The Goodlife Recipe Salmon and Shrimp flavor.

I was getting them at my little local market until they stopped carrying them. Now I order on line. We're on the monthly plan. A case (12 packages) a month on auto delivery.

He likes pounce too but only the fishy flavors.
