....I was trying to take with Autumn but she was afraid of it. It does play Christmas music and it does move around as the music plays. I could not get the pic with her in it...so here is the culprit. Do you think it's scary.

I've collected clown for many years

I personally like clowns and this one looks fine to me, some people really have phobias about them, suppose they're like marmite-you either love them or hate them

You wouldn't want to visit me then since I have loads of them, lol. I have put most of them away since I moved and never took a lot of them out yet plus I ran out of room.

I mind all clowns...ceramic, live, plastic, etc. And no offense, but this one is particularly scary. It sort of screams Stephen King.

I have been afraid of clowns ever since I watched IT with my mother when I was little.

Strange I love the movie though...still wont watch it alone.

Ahrrgh! Yep, I think it's kinda creepy. Actually I think all clowns are quite weird.

I've never been terribly fond of clowns, either. But I think that was more linked to me reading at a very young age (read newspapers too) and watching unchildlike things on tv. Gacy's paintings were creepy!
To top it off, there was a copy of IT around the house back around '87 - I'm pretty sure I read part of it since I'd read anything I got a hold of.

I wasn't afraid of them, and am still not. And don't particularly think the figurine in the picture is creepy or weird.
If I walked into a room full of the OP's collection I'd probably be weirded out a little, but dolls in general cause that.

I'm guessing Autumn saw it moving and making noise before and hasn't forgotten. My cats don't like inanimate objects moving on their own, either.

Clowns! *runs away from the thread*
Ok I came back.
I don't fear clowns as much as I really dislike them. I feel the same way about mascots and the giant stuffed animal people that are in theme parks. I will cross the entire park to get away from a giant Bugs Bunny that wants to hug me!

I'm not afraid of clowns, but some clowns are kind of creepy. This one is kind of creepy to me. It's like, who is the clown underneath all that clown makeup? He has a shiny little face and clothes, but his eyes are sad.

Yes! I had a bad experience with a mime at the World's Fair in front of like a thousand people. He grabbed my hand and wouldn't let go. People in the gathering crowd kept shouting helpful suggestions like "relax your hand and he'll let you go." I kept wondering how so many experts on escaping from a mime converged in the same place.

I'm surprised you just stood there and didn't fight more. I don't care who you are, if I don't know you and haven't initiated any acceptance for any sort of contact - if you touch me you will get hit/punched and kicked. (actually same rules apply even if you do know me, I can't stand people touching me
).

I just kept trying to pull my hand away and his amazingly strong grip kept getting tighter. Plus, I was a teenager at the time and convulsing in embarrassed laughter. Maybe the laughter just encouraged him, sent the wrong mime message. Who knows how they think....
